Anyone else hear that noise?
I am noticing this low, soft noise in the background when I open up the app. Its hard to hear but it’s definitely there. It makes like a quick shushing sound and repeats every two seconds. This is the only app on my phone that does this so I know its not a problem with my phone. The sound will go away once I close the app. Anyways can you please fix this?? It’s quite annoying especially when I’m sitting in silence trying to look at the recipes! Lol
Anyways great App. Love Tastemade! The recipes are amazing! Easy foods with delicious flavors. The subscription is a little pricey I think but overall it’s worth it.
Also , a quick idea, it would be pretty neat if you can look up recipes by the ingredients you had at home. Basically you input the ingredients you have and recipes, if any, will come up based on those ingredients you have at home. I think it would be a great way to save people a trip from the grocery store and for them to use up the foods they already have at home.
Well thought through.
This is actually an incredible app. As a disclaimer, there are a lot of things which one needs a Tastemade Plus account to view, but there are so many free recipes and videos it’s impossible to complain. You can open a recipe and export the ingredient list to another app, such as Notes or Email, or check off the list if you’ve pulled it open when shopping. The content is high quality. There is sponsored content and ads for the Tastemade shop (which is absurdly priced, I’m not sure they’ve realized their customer base is young, broke millennials) but not in the form of naggy bars at the bottom of the screen or obnoxious pop ups, as you might see in other apps. I do wish there was a written recipe with each video, because often there is not and this can make it hard to follow. Every time I open it there’s something new, both in terms of content and app features. I love this company and wish I was in a place financially where I could afford the paid subscription and support them better!
When I first found Tastemade, I was in love with the recipes, chefs and format of the app. But like many others, I became increasingly disappointed in the amount of content that Tastemade labeled as premium or “plus” content over time. Videos that were once free to watch now have a stipulation of five videos or so before you are prompted to pay for Tastemade Plus which tbh is a complete waste of money. The recipes are great but they aren’t anything special and Tastemade isn’t the only app or website that offers recipes. I don’t see a need to pay for this app when apps like Tasty are free and offer a variety of recipes similar to if not better than those found on Tastemade. The constant push for users to pay for content is a complete turnoff and I’ve since deleted the app and just turn to other recipe sites and apps that don’t require a subscription for no particular reason. 🤷🏽♀️
