Best TD on Mobile, ever

Infinitode 2 is, hands down, the best tower defense game ever published on any mobile device. It is also easily among the best valued games I’ve ever installed on my iPad or iPhone.

The game is free, and there is truly no reason to ever need to spend money on anything. The game doesn’t have an energy system to limit your playing. There is no pay to win whatsoever. The game is incredibly deep and impressively well balanced, and the replay value is thru the roof, because every level you beat has so many quests that keep on ramping up as you play. The game never feels like a grind, even when replaying previously beaten levels.

Infinitode has many enemy types, and many different towers. Unlike many TD games, you NEED to build pretty much all of the tower types to really crush tons of waves (each level has endless waves…..you keep going until your base is eventually overpowered).

As I mentioned above, you never NEED to spend money on this game. However, I was more than happy to pay a one time price of $5, which increases some of your rewards after beating a level, and causes loot boxes to open instantly. More than anything, I just wanted to give something to this developer for creating such an amazing game. The game is easily worth much more than $5.

If you are into TD games, this is the one! Get it!

Best TD defense game, not easy to learn

I've been a TD fan since they were birthed in starcraft custom matches, I've played just about everyone, and this one is among the best!

The difficultly is there almost immediately, but everything is possible if you try different configurations. The music is really fun, and the animations are almost satisfying, but a bit simple.

The UI(interface) is incredibly over complicated, it looks like a couple of developers had a brainstorm and used every idea they could think of, and then added it to the home screen. For someone coming into this game it could be very daunting.

The complexity of the game is also over the top, there are so many different things you can do, and they're all visible from the first stage of the game. I would recommend hiding most of the content from the user and show more as they progress. I would also recommend making the research more understandable, there are so many options that it's honestly overwhelming when you open the research tab, no one is ever going to read all that. Also your research tickets should be visible on the research page.

In summary, this game is really awesome, but some genius with too much time made it, and added every possible feature they could think of.

Fun Game with Two Huge Flaws

I enjoyed this game. It may be the best pure tower defense game available. But it has two huge flaws. First, the in game help is woefully thin, especially compared to the complexity of its mechanics it is very easy to waste time pursuing one set of upgrades, only to find that that path does not help you. The complexity of the research tree aggravates this, especially because what each upgrade actually adds is opaque. The second flaw is, literally, game-breaking. After several weeks of trial and error, I managed to get many towers upgraded to where I could use them reliably. Then, in the middle of a game, it froze. When I returned, all of my progress had disappeared and the game had reset to the tutorials, wiping out weeks of work. There appears to be no way to restore your previous progress very frustrating, and badly designed! Good game. Game-breaking flaws.

RATING REVISED TO 5 STARS

THe developer responded quickly to my earlier review. I learned that if I had logged an account, I would have auto saved to the clouds due could have restored from there

And the developer credited a new game with resources that brought me back close to my lost progress.

So five stars: great game great suppor!
