Description

The iopool application allows pool owners to manage their water treatment themselves.

The EcO probe analyzes the water continuously and the application displays the results of the analyses.

When an addition of products is necessary, the user is notified. The application explains step by step the steps to follow for optimal efficiency and safety.

Thanks to iopool's intelligent recommendation engine and its application, users no longer need to worry about managing inventory and quantity of maintenance products. These products have been selected by iopool for their efficiency, in partnership with a university research center.

The iopool application is the best companion for users of a private pool. The application makes it possible to know at any time the state of health of the pool, forgetting the chore of weekly strips.

Great Device and App, but…

The device works as advertised and the app keeps up with the data well, but there are a couple of improvements needed to match the pHin app. The first one is to accept other brand name chemicals into inventory and use those chemicals when giving the recommendations for treatment. The other one is to be able to edit pool size and pump flow to calculate hours of filtration needed. I put in the wrong info and now it gives me the wrong amount of filtration time. Overall, very pleased. Would recommend the whole system - monitor device, bridge device and app.

Useless

Have two of them (one for pool and one for spa). Readings are nowhere close to accurate. I routinely compare to test strips and they are way way off. IOPool units indicate ph is low (one read a ph of 4) when ph is actually HIGH according to two different brands of test strips and multiple strips. Chlorine levels in IOPool are borderline low but both test strips show total and free chlorine levels off the charts high. I’ve been using them for months, calibrated them multiple times with their incredibly overpriced manual test strips (which doesn’t seem to really do anything) and the units are almost never accurate. Oh and the app demands manual analysis with their test strips pretty much constantly - the day after I do a manual test, it wants another, which is convenient when you’re selling overprice test strips. Relying on them is a recipe for messed up chem levels. I’ve had it and tomorrow I call support and demand some type of resolution. I would never recommend this product to anyone. Expensive junk that will rapidly get you into trouble if you trust it.

Developer Response ,

Hello, if your EcO indicates a pH of 4, please ensure that the probe cap is properly set to the analysis position. EcO doesn't measure chlorine levels but rather the ORP (Oxidation-Reduction Potential). These two measurements are not comparable. If your app is requesting multiple manual analyses in a row, this is often due to stabilizer saturation. The reasons for each request are explained within the app; however, I invite you to contact our support team so we can resolve these issues together as quickly as possible. Have a great day!

Eco disconnected from gateway

Once eco sensor acquired by someone’s account it can’t be transferred to another. Eco sensor disconnected on its own from gateway being 5 feet away apart. Gateway only connects using Wi-Fi though has PoE power. Way to improve the product. No phone customer support

Developer Response ,

Hi Mansurchik, It is possible to transfer your EcO from one account to another through a winterization. The procedure can be found on our FAQ (also available in the app). Don't hesitate to contact us at support (on the website or in the app) in order to solve the connection issues with your gateway. I'm sure we can find a quick and efficient solution.
