Know before you buy…

Make sure the dictionary you are using is one of the two this app will download… mine wasn’t and I wasted $20. I’m am learning Mark Kislingbury’s theory and his dictionary is a DCT file.

Poor Business Ethics

I bought this app in anticipation of a free beginner’s Steno class I enrolled in when the delivery of my Steno rental machine was going to be delivered late. Therefore, I purchased this app on my IPad to hold me over. For whatever reason I can’t remember, the App wouldn’t work correctly on my iPad so I was unable to use because the keyboard was not showing correctly on screen. I did not get to use this App. -NOT one time-so at the time this occurred, I meediately wrote to company to request a refund $. Their response: they would not issue a refund and made the poor invalid excuse that they couldn’t because it was not possible as the app. Is bought through Apple so they couldn’t make that determination….what a crock ! At least be honest that you were just keeping my $ and it was my problem not theirs .

Cool App

This is a very cool app and it seems to work pretty well. The only down side is (obviously) there’s no tactile feedback so it’s tough to learn by feel like you’re technically supposed to. It’d be cool if there was an option to turn on the key names and even see a layout of double characters. If you have to look to type, you might as well have the option of turning on the labels. I like the export and being able to add your own dictionaries is very cool.
