Best language tool...ever.

While I can not conclusively say this is the best language tool for learning Italian for absolutely everyone, I have used numerous other approaches to learning such languages as Chinese, French, German, Spanish, and Hebrew. This is hands down been the very best for me, even over Pimsleur and Rosetta Stone. This has been true for Italian friends who use the same app to learn English. The app solves all my previous difficulties in language learning. However, one must still practice. From nearly starting scratch eleven months ago, my ability to travel alone in areas of Italy where no one knows English has been easy. I recently traveled by bus and was able to have a conversation with an Italian man for an hour and a half, only needing to verify two words I was uncertain of. If you don’t get this app, you are wasting a lot of time and effort to learn Italian.

Seems to be a lot of errors and no ability to handle local phrases

I have used this app for Italian for years. But I don’t think it is as accurate grammatically as it used to be. So now I am wondering if there is another app in the age of AI which might improve on this. I’m looking for a translator app which also provides sentences (examples) using the exact term I am learning. A problem with this app is that the examples it provides are not using the exact term I am looking for. So for example, you learn a new term in class and you want to practice by looking at multiple sentences. You enter the term into this app and it typically returns only one example (if that) using the exact term you entered. And the other examples it provides are WAY off track using completely different terms which don’t even relate often times. I have found ReversoContext to be similar in this regard. Both of these apps have been around for decades and I’m wondering if it’s time to switch to something more accurate and useful using AI models. Still, it does return a translation with sentences which good old fashioned google does not do.

Learning Italian

Started teaching myself Italian a few weeks ago and after a few weeks of just using Duolingo and google translate I realized I needed something else lol. I love this app because is shows you related and alternative words and phrases to what you're looking for, and if you're one who likes to see patterns when learning, it's really helpful. It works offline so you can use it whenever your phone has battery.

For example, if you look for "il cibo" it will tell you the definition and then under it how to say, "the food is good", "the food is cold", "the food is ready", and so on. I'm a super curious person so I was really excited when I first downloaded this to see so many examples whenever I searched lol
