This rather serious Tech user and guitar player of over 50 years has now been around the block with the primary Amp Sims and for the money, the UI ease of use and design, but above all, the quality of the sound of the Amps and the utility of the Pedals, for ten bucks, this one is absolutely the best. I waited for a couple months of using this app after trying and favorably reviewing several others because this is the one I found the easiest to use and definitely has the best clean sound. Here’s another key difference, there’s 128 Preset Slots. The UI is very accessible for switching between tones, amps and pedal setups instantly. Nembrini, for example is the opposite. It’s also important to mention how well this app works with GarageBand. The additional features make you sound better and cleaner than the its internal sims. It works seamlessly. Lastly, my other distinction is how clean and clear the sound is when output to an external amp, for performance purposes, in my case a tone neutral 100 watt PA. The noise gates are extremely sensitive and effective. So basically you get all the benefits of the more well known apps that are in multiples of cost ranges and probably very little in additional functionality. Thanks for providing this excellent app for such an incredible one time purchase of $10. Apple should promote it to a larger entry level audience.
Perfect Setup
Endless Nameless
This app is an all-in-one app, that surprised me a LOT! I'm using an iRig HD and this, and a homemade BT pedal, for switching pedals or presets. This is pretty much all you'll ever need, playing guitar in a fast and portable fashion. Every single effect is perfect, and the option to place them in any order, gives you the ability to create any tone you can think of. You do get what you pay for, on this app. If you're only using the free stuff, then you're gonna be limited as to how good it can sound. Trust me, buying the in-app upgrades will be money well spent. You're going to need an interface, of course, and a Bluetooth foot-switch controller, to be able to change setups while playing. This JamUp app works with airturn or MIDI control pedals. You could even rig a keyboard, with foot-switches, and use switch control, in iOS settings.Enjoy,--brad

I wrote a review for this long ago when it was the only app Positive Grid had out. Since it is still available on the App Store I thought I should re-write it considering how much iOS music has evolved.Of course, if you know about this app you probably know about BiasAmp or BiasFX. There are a lot of people who will say BiasAmp is the best on iOS. I think that would be subjective but for many, that’s the fact.My personal opinion is that JamUp Pro is better for one reason. In my opinion, more choice is not better sound. Sure, you can customize amplifiers and that kind of thing in BiasAmp, and if that’s what you really want, your new amps still work with JamUp Pro.I would spend hours tweaking an amplifier in BiasAmp trying to come up with my “signature” tone only to open it up a week later to find I hated it. The beauty of JamUp Pro Is it’s just like a guitar amp. Plug-in and play. All the great amps have already been made and these ones all sound great without getting inside and changing the tubes or adjusting things like transformers and tone stacks. In my original review I kind of bashed on it for being mono. There were no stereo effects. There’s still not any stereo effects. But the way iOS has evolved for musicians you can add stereo effects to your signal chain before the recorder. Just run it through Audiobus or AUM as an input, add effects then send the signal into a recording app. This has the effect of recording a single mic’d amplifier with classic effects pedals then adding studio effects during mixing.I don’t know if it’s possible but I would really like to see this app become AUv3 compatible. This would make it possible for me to send a single guitar signal to two or more different amplifiers and record them all at the same time. I think I’m just dreaming though. So, closing, I STILL highly recommend this app.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Tried all the other guitar processing apps and this is the one

I have been using iOS based apps and all kinds of interfaces, this one is the best bc of the master-master plume that makes it a breeze to tweak for clipping and presence. I currently use the xsonic xtone pedal and it sounds great, better and faster than any irig or apogee interface. Jam up pro is easy to use and is a great virtual showroom that offers accurate models of amps and fx that u can base your real gear purchases on.
