Backed by parenting coaches and experts, Joon is the future of parenting and raising kids. Going beyond chores, Joon uses gamification to motivate your children (ages 5 – 12) to do real-life activities (like chores, homework, and exercise) that help them build valuable life skills – all 100% for FREE.

Help you raise a well-rounded child by using a research-backed child development framework. There are 6 distinct character traits that Joon will help your child develop: 1) Mental Health, 2) Cognitive Development, 3) Collaboration, 4) Physical Health, 5) Relationships, 6) Independence & Grit. Learn more about what each of these traits mean and the research we put into it by visiting our site here:

Not only does Joon make it extremely easy to motivate your kids to do chores, but it also teaches them valuable life skills that they won’t be able to learn in school. We’ve helped thousands of families complete more than 50k tasks and teach their kids important life skills, so why can't we help you?

1) Start with age-appropriate activities and habits: Choose a couple of the 6 character traits, and we'll provide you with a small list of recommended activities (known as Quests) to get your child started on strengthening these core skills.

2) Use gamification to keep your child on track: Your child chooses a virtual pet (called a Doter) to feed, wash, and grow. When they complete the real-life activities assigned to them, their Doter grows and levels up in the game helping your child visualize their own progress.

3) Continuous development of new life skills: As your child progresses in the game, we'll start recommending new character traits to work on, building off of their growth and continuing to teach them new important life skills to help them succeed.

+ We make it easy to manage your child’s tasks and add to your existing routine.

+ We'll do the reminding to help your child stick to their routine. No more nagging from your end.

+ Your children will stay motivated to do the activities assigned to them, helping strengthen their character and improve their behavior.

+ We give you suggestions for hundreds of research-backed, age-appropriate activities to help your child build the necessary life skills to be a happy, successful, and self-sufficient adult.

Joon is less than a year old and already has the attention of press, parenting publications, and parenting experts. To see the complete list, visit our website here:

1) Install Joon on your device, create your family, and select 1 to 2 character traits you’d like to initially focus on with each child.

2) Help your child set up their account so they can see the activities that you’ve assigned them.

3) Add a few more activities that are most important to your family (such as chores, learning, or exercising) and assign them to your child. Your child will be motivated to complete these activities in order to feed and take care of their virtual pet.

4) Once your child completes their tasks, you can review and approve them to make sure they were completed correctly.

5) Once approved, your children receive coins and experience points that let them feed, level up, buy things, and progress in the game with their virtual pet. As your child continues to progress in the game, they actually progress in real life too!

6) Keep adding quests (and we’ll recommend you new ones too to help your children develop good habits! Your children cannot grow on their own. Make sure to stay involved in the process and keep assigning new quests as needed to allow your children to continue helping, learning, growing, and progressing in the game.

7) That's it! No subscription fees, no in-app purchases, and no one-time payments! The app is 100% free to use so don’t be worried about any free trial expiring.

Love this app!!!! just one question

ok so i love this app so much, i love how parents have control of the limits and their children can play around and explore a fun new way to do chores!!!!!! that’s right, i said it. CHORES! and your kids can even submit questions and things to the idea board about things that they want to share with other kids. so if you’re the type of person that has lazy kids that don’t want to do chores, this is your go-to app. but i just have one question for the creators. why can’t the kids choose their doters again and again? anyways, like i said this is a great app and your kids will love it!!

Hi CoolFox2789!

Thanks so much for the awesome review!! It’s great to hear the app working well for your family.

There actually is a way to change your Doter’s type! You can buy a Transformation Orb, found in the Caverns Region -> Caverns Cave.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to if you have any other questions!

Thoughtful app for helping kids accomplish tasks

There is no reason for this app to be limited to chores, any task you need your children to do can be added and they will rush to do it! Within 5 minutes of introducing it to my kids they were running back and forth completing quests and asking me for more! It’s been miraculous with my ADHD son, who I usually have to fight to get his chores done. No more of that happening! Can’t wait to see what’s in store for the future of this app!

Create chores not on your list?

I feel completely lost. I added in the list of pre made chores that this app offers but can’t seem to find how to creat chores that aren’t on the apps list. We have rabbits and it is my kiddo’s job to maintain these house rabbits, their crate, and to sweep up any random poos that get fired off. I cannot find a chore to assign this to her. Also we are homeschoolers and I wanted to make daily chores for each of her assignments. I cannot find the way to do this. Developers please help? She LOVES this app but I will have to use another if we can’t create custom chores. How do we do this?

Developer Response ,

Hi MommaLynne!

Thanks for the review — it’s great to hear your daughter loves the app!

We should definitely need to make this more clear but you can create your own custom Quests by clicking the “Create New Quest” on the top of your Quest Board, and then clicking “Create Custom” on the top of that screen. Please reach out to if you run into any other problems!
