KARR Security 4+

I just bought my first car with a dealer installed Karr alarm. Immediately I was annoyed with the “two honk” unlock notification. I’m sure the neighborhood doesn’t want to hear when I unlock my car in the middle of the night. After I figured out that I needed to call customer service to send me login info (they didn’t have the correct address from the dealer), I was told that I wouldn’t be able to silently unlock my car with the key fob but I could with the app. What!? We’ll, that turned out to be wrong information. I was able to change the settings in the app to silence the honk notification but it is all or nothing. Either you get honks for both lock and unlock or you get silence for both. A nice update would be to allow you adjust independently. It would also be nice to retain normal car settings so that you could have silence for on the first lock button push and a honk for second lock button push. I’ll live with the silence for now.

User interface is much friendlier and intuitive compared to the previous app. Many issues I had with the previous version have been addressed with this app. It’s worth taking the time to update the details of your vehicle, especially if you have more than one KARR system. You can name the vehicle so you don’t need to guess which VIN is the vehicle you’re trying to access. A new helpful feature is you can save your license plate number, insurance info, and any additional coverages you have on your vehicle to this app - can save a lot of time if calling the police to report a stolen vehicle, all the info they will ask for will be in the same app used to track it’s location.

So far the only improvement I would like to see to this app is if you can have multiple geofences active at the same time so you don’t need to go in the app every time you go between home and work to update which geofence you want active.

I like the app but sometimes when doesn't wanna refresh my location. When it get stuck on a location after moving around all day I normally have to call customer service to have them reboot the system for me which gets annoying. I love it cause I do see the location of my car when needed but sometimes it has a delay notification when I exist home an enter home an it's annoying.
