KEF, what are you thinking!?

I read the reviews of the KEF LSX speakers before I bought them, so I have to say I knew about the problems with Control and Stream. But, I thought surely a company like KEF would fix the problems. No way. KEF customer service doesn’t even respond to requests for help. Most days, when I have time to listen I spend most of my time trying to get the software to connect to the speakers instead of listening to music. Sometimes Control sees the speakers, but Stream doesn’t. Then there’s the static sound, especially in the right speaker. The problems are countless. I’m either getting rid of them, or I’ll have to get an external streamer and connect to the speakers via Toslink. What a nightmare!

2 yrs of S/W updates - still awful

I’ve had these speakers for two years, kept up with the software updates, and they are still a nightmare of trial and error to connect to. All I can assume is the company truly doesn’t care. I got them free as part of my company’s rewards program. They’re not even worth free. The sound quality is great but they should pay me for all the lost hours I’ve spent trying to connect via bluetooth. KEF, it’s time to stop hiring the CEO’s 15 year-old nephew to write the software and hire a real programmer. Stop sending me offers to buy your other speakers, I’ll never buy another pair until you fix the crap you already have out there.

Great speakers let down by terrible app

I love how my KEF wireless speakers sound, but the apps are terrible. The app almost never knows what the speakers are actually doing. This especially true if you use the included remote control or another app to play music. The app goes unresponsive often and occasionally crashes. It makes me think why have an app at all. Unfortunately, it’s the only way to make adjustments to the speakers’ settings. I had a Sonos setup before and the app integration is so much better, but they sound nowhere near as good as KEF. For how much more expensive the KEF speakers are I would expect more. The app almost made me want to return what would be otherwise great speakers. KEF, fix this app!!!!
