I found a few bugs and visual nits in the new KIT consumption experience, and decided to collapse KITs who don't send in a given week into a chip pile instead of a list. (This is probably mostly a me-problem as I have a bunch of one-time KIT friends who helped me test and have since lapsed.)

I was feeling like the drop consumption experience was getting too heavy and complicated, so I took it back to basics: instead of a story viewer, it's a simple scrolling view. The reaction bar was feeling cluttered, so I've collapsed it — and expanded it at the same time!

A number of bugs fixed!

You can now sign in with Apple or Google as well as with your email and password. Settings has a new section, How you sign in, where you can add or remove them and set a password. Adding a second way in means losing one won't lock you out.

Fixed adding a profile photo failing for some photos, including ones still downloading from iCloud. If a photo cannot be read, the app now says so instead of blaming your connection.

You can now add a photo of yourself. Set it from Settings, frame it in a circle, and friends see it beside your name. Tap a friend's photo in their KIT to see it large. If you have no photo yet, Home asks once.

Activity now reads like the conversation it is. A comment on a photo shows a large photo and everything they wrote. A reaction stays a small tile with one quiet line. The day before the exchange, Home tells you who is still short and when the queue closes. The Queue tab reads 2/3 while your queue is open, or a check once everyone is covered. A photo you sent opens whole, with your caption once beneath it, and you can swipe between the week's photos in a thread. When adding a photo, "Use the whole photo" skips the frame. Older photos in the picker show a preview while iCloud catches up. Also fixed a warning that appeared over a week that had already gone out.

Stories move at your pace. The timer is gone: tap an edge to step through a friend's photos, swipe to page, and keep swiping past the last one straight into the next friend's week. Each week opens on its own page — their note, what they were feeling, listening to and where they were — sized to fit the screen. Long captions now end with "Show more" on the same line. On Home, each friend's note and week details sit as cards tucked behind their photos, and tapping any photo opens the story on that photo. You can now react to individual comments by tapping them.
