Kitchen United Mix Food Hall 17+

Discovered Kitchen United a couple of years ago in Chicago River North - surprised and thrilled to find well known restaurant brands in their building! I thought ghost kitchens were all shared kitchens or no name brands or not good food... this place is awesome, and I see they also in Phoenix, Austin and L.A. area.

Besides the amazing brands, the best part is you can order across all cuisine types and restaurants, and play in one transaction for pickup OR delivery! That way I get big meals and carbs for my hubby, light and healthy for me, I can even get vegan and vegetarian for my herbivore friends. 😆 Point is there is something for every taste!!

I did i just discover a couple of brands in Chicago that are not on the Mix app - they need to be on the app, I don't order from them because I want to get different things on one ticket. And I make the buying decisions hubby eats what I get him lol.

Love how easy the app is to use and can’t wait to travel again so I can order from all their kitchens. Highly recommend!!!

I’ve been a fan of Kitchen United and what it provides to a family of picky eaters. I’m super excited that there’s now the added convenience of this app!

Based on what I’ve seen so far, the app itself is super easy to navigate and I especially like the feature of collections at the top which makes it seamless for me to go straight to the category of food I’m in the mood for. This is unlike my previous go-to, Uber eats that only provides that function through the search tab.

I also LOVE that the menus have been organized by category with actual pictures of the food instead of small text and no pics like I’ve seen with other food apps.

Overall, extremely impressed with the look and feel of this app as well as the service itself. Thanks for making ordering food a little easier on us folks that rely on takeout, Kitchen United! My friends can’t wait til you open up more locations!

First of all, it’s not a native app, it’s just a wrapper for their buggy website.

Second, even though it says “checkout as a guest” that’s not actually possible.

Third, once you create an account (I have to create an account, I can’t just Sign In with Apple, Google, Facebook or anything else) it forgets the contents of your shopping cart.

Fourth, there’s no integration with Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, etc, so I’m forced to share my credit card details.

Fifth, whatever you’re doing with your card entry fields causes iOS to not recognize the data type that’s being entered, so I can’t retrieve stored card info from Wallet. This means that I literally have to type the entire card, date, etc in manually.

Bonus points, when it forgot my cart (see point #3 above) I had already entered my payment info and then I got a “cart must contain at least one item” error. Guess what that means? Re-entering my card info by hand all over again!!

Come on guys, this would be embarrassing for a mobile app in 2014, much less in 2021. Hire a competent dev and you can probably sort this out in a couple months!
