Great idea - execution needs improvement

It awesome to be able to access the facilities via this app.
Making a reservation is often painful. Since the last upgrade this week, it always times out - so it’s impossible to make a reservation.
Not being able to modify reservations is a shame for the one who’s reservation just expires because of changing plans and more so that it won’t be available to anyone else who would love to use the spot. I would understand if it says that you can’t make any modifications within 24 hrs - currently it doesn’t allow any.
Calling the facility when you have an emergency is really the last thing you want to do and hanging on hold. One can do access the app and cancel with a few clicks would be helpful- and again giving others the opportunity to go. I don’t mind paying a fee or paying it all if it’s within 24 hrs.

Update: all these issues are fixed and it is simple to reserve tennis courts now. I am very happy with the app now

This new website/app for the LA parks is so bad. The old website worked on my phone or laptop’s internet browser just fine and I was able to book a court within a minute. The new website is so glitchy and I’ve spent 30 minutes trying to get through all the steps of booking a court. Sometimes I’ve had to just wait and come back to the app hours later because it wasn’t working. Also, why does the new app show time slots for courts that are already booked without differentiating it from the available ones. It’s very misleading when checking tennis court availability. Please bring back the old website or fix the current one.

We are sorry that you encountered these problems upon the launch of LA Parks. The technical glitches have since been resolved a while ago. Please give our App another go and adjust your comments and ratings for us so that we can continue to improve our product.

Good idea, doesn’t work

The database seems poorly updated. Searching for volleyball within 20 miles of me came up with nothing. I thought that can’t be right so I filtered for tennis courts within 1 mile, knowing that I have public courts on my street, and nothing came up.
Also the app has my address, so why when I go to the find facilities tab, does the app feature facilities that are like 20 miles away?
There’s also issue with filtering, if you filter adult activities it includes youth sports that range up to 18yrs.

It’s quite nicely designed and easy to navigate, but it’s only the start of what could be something great.
