Apple health integration

Why does this app not provide the glucose data to Apple Health? They advertise integration with Apple Health but it can only read data about heart rate, workouts, etc… it does not send the glucose data to Apple Health. This is a huge feature miss for an app like this. I also wish it had a watch complication to see the current glucose level and trend. I have also tried the competing Stelo CGM and it has both of these features. I hope these features are coming in a future release, or will probably switch back to Stelo. I like everything else about Lingo more, but the lack of Apple Health data is a major failure in my opinion! I wish had read the other reviews before ordering because I probably would have just waited to try this one!

Horrible IT Systems

Within minutes of ordering I discovered multiple problems with their IT flow. After receiving the sensors more problems followed. 1. The FAQ does not mention any shipping address restrictions or the carrier. Only after placing an order does an order confirmation screen appear stating that UPS is the carrier (which will not work for my PO Box). 2. In the app outdated tech (sms) is forced upon users (rather than TOTP or U2F) for signup. 3. The app Face ID/Touch ID Signup option appears to be conflated with passkey/iCloud keychain use. 4. There are multiple other UI problems such as a lack of metric system options for users that prefer it. 5. Not at all the apps data sharing permissions appear mandatory for the app to function as intended. I consider the privacy implications of this app to be onerous. 7. User access to CGM data is limited to viewing a graph (with limited history) in the app. There is no ability to export the raw data to use/analyze externally. 8. Their support desk is horrible and appear to be cutting/pasting many responses from a script which may or may not be directly relevant to your concern. They also prematurely are closing tickets before issues are resolved. I will not be renewing my Lingo sensor subscription after it expires.

Life Changing!

I’ve been anxiously awaiting this product release. I feel like I’m a good candidate- borderline pre diabetic with a history of gestational diabetes. I sometimes check my blood sugar but it’s not easy or convenient.

I’ve been using Lingo for about a week and the amount of information it’s provided about my body is incredible. One review mentioned that it doesn’t provide your current glucose number which is untrue as it’s the first thing I see when I open the app. They also provide a Lingo “Count” which isn’t well defined but seems to be a number related to how high you spike and for how long- the goal is to reduce your lingo count through dietary and exercise changes.

I’ve been using this first week to more or less eat the same diet and see how my body reacts. It’s fascinating to see what spikes blood sugar for me specifically. Also interesting is I was always told to check my blood sugar two hours after eating but through Lingo I’ve discovered my highest spikes happen around 60 min or even sooner and generally return to normal by 2 hours. I’ve had some truly high spikes I never would’ve known about had I not used this product.

Thank you Lingo for making this accessible to the non insulin using population. I hope that the changes I’m making now will help me down the road to avoid type 2 diabetes altogether despite my genetic predisposition to it.
