Finally, What We Deserve

Love this app and the mission behind Loom! Navigating women’s health in a world that often devalues and disregards women’s health can feel really confusing, overwhelming, and frustrating, but I really love how this app breaks everything down into bite-sized nuggets. I’ve been following Loom for a few years and learned a lot through their newsletter and website, but to now have this app available where I can always have the info I’m curious about accessible feels like such a gift. Also, let’s recognize how cute the design is and enjoyable it is to use. They really thought about this. We see you Loom and we thank you!

A vital shift in culture

I’m deeply encouraged and invigorated by the existence of this app as part of the many fractal actions that are necessary to shift dominant culture around women’s health. As a women who has struggled with doctors’ lack of understanding of my body combined with the general structural experience of the unequal burden placed on women in reproductive and sexual wellness, I’m so grateful that this app provides a space for knowledge sharing. The more we can share our stories, connect, push for research, and advocate for wellness through intersectional feminist imaginaries, the more our bodies can begin to really feel like our own. Thank you for existing Loom app!

Finally, the women’s health app we deserve

Loom is now a regular part of my daily app browsing, and I’m so glad it exists. As women, so much of our health and wellness education is dated, ill-informed, or hard to access for many. Loom is the first app I’ve encountered that offers a deep dive into just about everything my body could be experiencing… and not with a scary WebMD spin, but from a compassionate and informed place. The design is engaging and honestly really cute lol, to the point I forget I’m on a health app! The storytelling elements and anecdotes from real women make this app invaluable. I’m so glad this exists.
