Lucid Hearing 12+

I have had my hearing aids for over a year now. When I try to use the app, the right aid connects. The only way to get the left to connect is to open the battery compartment & close it again. Then suddenly the app can find it. Neither stays connected. I’ve been back to the clinician multiple times for help & adjustments. For awhile, I had the problem of my hearing aids shutting off & coming back on when I shut my car door, or bumped my head, or there was a loud noise. This, of course, causes you to lose connection with your phone. This last time, my clinician acted like he was familiar with the problem & made an adjustment that finally seems to have solved that problem. Maybe now they will stay connected?

Honestly until I tried lucid hearing aids I never knew how much I was missing out in life. So many sounds the world around you makes and I never knew because I couldn’t hear certain frequencies. I tried other cheap devices that anyone could buy and nothing came close to these. Honestly I can’t live without these now. For the first time in my life I don’t say “what” repeatedly when speaking to people and so feeling embarrassed because I still don’t hear what someone is saying to me. I can hear my child in the next room or if he yells out for me while I’m cooking. I highly recommend! I teared up when I first used this because I realized my life was quiet and lonely compared to all the sounds I was actually missing out on around me. I didn’t think my hearing was that bad. Quality is important with these. You get what you pay for. That’s why I got the highest one that was recommended for me.

I was surprised to see that lucid technologies put out an app and streaming aid which is so woefully deficient in so many areas. Sound quality is horrible using the streaming app. Additionally, if you stream from your iPhone device to the aids you must keep the iPhone in direct view of the aids. ie: you cannot put the phone in your pocket or the signal cuts out. One would have thought that with the good hearing technology used in the aids that the streaming would be at least as reliable and sound good. Very disappointed and unsettled with this product. I switched from having a 96 channel aids to the streaming aids because the 96’s did not have streaming and I did not want to have to change from hearing aids to iPods to stream. The in store specialists are not able to fix or give any reason for the tech failure though they are friendly and usually helpful with aid issues.
I would consider a different hearing aid system personally and to prospective customers.
