Lucid Hearing 12+

I have had my hearing aids for over a year now. When I try to use the app, the right aid connects. The only way to get the left to connect is to open the battery compartment & close it again. Then suddenly the app can find it. Neither stays connected. I’ve been back to the clinician multiple times for help & adjustments. For awhile, I had the problem of my hearing aids shutting off & coming back on when I shut my car door, or bumped my head, or there was a loud noise. This, of course, causes you to lose connection with your phone. This last time, my clinician acted like he was familiar with the problem & made an adjustment that finally seems to have solved that problem. Maybe now they will stay connected?

Honestly until I tried lucid hearing aids I never knew how much I was missing out in life. So many sounds the world around you makes and I never knew because I couldn’t hear certain frequencies. I tried other cheap devices that anyone could buy and nothing came close to these. Honestly I can’t live without these now. For the first time in my life I don’t say “what” repeatedly when speaking to people and so feeling embarrassed because I still don’t hear what someone is saying to me. I can hear my child in the next room or if he yells out for me while I’m cooking. I highly recommend! I teared up when I first used this because I realized my life was quiet and lonely compared to all the sounds I was actually missing out on around me. I didn’t think my hearing was that bad. Quality is important with these. You get what you pay for. That’s why I got the highest one that was recommended for me.

The app itself is better than not having anything, barely. Latest update is terrible. Unfortunately, my hearing aids that were ridiculously expensive, rely heavily on the app, which is constantly disconnecting from them. I’m continually having to open the battery compartments to get them reset, then go to my phone’s Bluetooth settings and pair them, again! Then with a little luck, it pairs. Sometimes I have to shut down the app, reboot the phone, open the battery compartments, to get them all communicating and working. Also, after paying nearly $5k for the devices, the recent update now “requires” my personal information in order to use the app. It’s give the info to lucid, or don’t use the app. In other words, don’t use the hearing aids. I wish I’d have gone elsewhere at this point.
