The Lux app allows you to control your thermostats from anywhere via your iPhone or iPad. You’ll never have to go to your thermostat to set your schedule or change the temperature again. Do it all from the palm of your hand, whether you’re on your couch or on the go. Make use of the Radius geo-fencing feature to get maximum savings whenever you leave the house.

It retrieves settings as soon as you open it. I have it on high performance mode. I bought a 12 pack of lithiums for it. Why can’t it stay connected for another minute to apply my temperature change? Like someone else said it is easier to get up and change it yourself.
So you can’t do simple things like inform me that the system is currently cooling or heating? What does “auto” mean? I have to look in my schedule to remember what it is set to?
You can’t tell me what the current set point is?
What is the meaning of “last connected”? When I change the temperature I want it to connect NOW. Not when you feel like it or when your garbage servers finally decide to. Stupid joke. I am home and I want cooling now. Not 10 minutes from now.
You can’t let me tell the app to manually connect now?
What’s the point of it saying it contacted my thermostat 3 minutes ago? I just changed the temperature - contact it now. This much is obvious. I have it on high performance. Which I take it to mean it better connect when I set a temperature.
Maybe you have slow servers?
Is this stupid internet connection necessary? What happens when you go out of business? All your thermostat should become paperweights? Can’t you design this to work without your servers? Let it connect directly to the thermostat. Involving your stupid slow, useless servers is pointless. It’s just a risk. Maybe when i’m outside my home invoke your server, if not just connect directly.
The Geo Lux was easy to set up. The app some potential with improvements but navigates great.
So far it seems to be all good. The thermostats, I ordered two, from mass save, were ten bucks a piece, so why not give it a shot. These were my first WiFi thermos. The set up was incredibly easy and fast. Now onto this App. I like the Lux app because it is really easy to navigate and I love the stats that are really useful when fine tuning your temperature sweet spots. I would like to see improvement in stats where I can look at month vs the same month last year and the potential dollars saved based on your providers rate. For those that are complaining about short batteries life, there are three settings with in the app for adjusting the responsiveness of communication between the app and the thermostat. It will increase or decrease the frequency in which the device communicate via the network. These modes will determine how long your batteries lasts. Play around with it and let us know. Mine are too new to know just yet.
Lux thermostat works great
Our Electric Cooperative in central Oregon installed our Lux thermostat 6 months ago as part of a promotion to reduce our utility costs & control our electric heat in our vacation home.
We downloaded the Lux app.
It connected to our WiFi system right away.
It connected to our app immediately.
We named the thermostat to ID it’s location.
We set the “away” settings.
We set the schedule for night use & AM temperature increase.
It works just as advertised.
While at home I can change the settings right from my chair (or bed) with my phone. It connects directly with the thermostat via the WiFi connection.
I do not understand other people’s complaints about Lux servers being slow. If your app and thermostat is connected to your WiFi system it is direct. Your delay problem is with your own WiFi Connectivity.
When we travel “away “ the program sets the thermostat as we planned.
We travel a lot so we check the settings twice a day via WiFi. Perfect! It is always ok.
In the cold of winter we raised the “away” settings to keep the inside from freezing.
We really like that our Lux app also tells us the outside temperature at the house - probably weather service reading.
We are planning to purchase another Lux thermostat for our main home.
Both will be controlled with one app.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
