Ratings and Reviews
Great app/wish pricing was a little more affordable
This app is amazing. Has all the data you need from the basic subscription. Best card app on the market hands down. If you’re a sport card investor/flipper, this is a must have. Did buy an SGC 9.5 hyper red optic card that pulls up in the app; so it’s registered into the system, but for some reason there are no sales history or data on that card which is weird because there have been many transactions of that card throughout the past few months as I have seen on ebay. Wish the more premium options were a little more affordable. Doesn’t really make sense to pay $50 a month for premium if you aren’t making at least $1,000 a month flipping cards in my opinion. Which maybe that’s who they made that subscription level specifically for. Overall it’s still the best sports card app on the market and definitely recommend it.
Not much useful functionality for non pros
I was super excited to use this tool. However werher becuase of user wrror or just not there this actually not very beefy app. 1. Most of thenebay orices listed when you click link goes to sifferent priced item. Bait and switch almost. 2. Why cant you hbe scanning or oicture id besides for slabs. Raw cards which lot of us have need prices. Ebay google image click photo finds it. I think to be better more usedul causal collector it jeeda the photo option for look ip. Market oeice feature is nice but i got same results from google search. Agin first night with it but that is my experience. Price charts are good but spot check easy for low volume collectors. Ease and actual functionality was not good. The developers need work on functionality many didnt work for me. Wven typing names took many tries to get catlin clark crunch time ip. Or soccer players that werent messi… think concept good but better app programmer and some serious q and. You know its not cheap for an app. Same cost as crunchy roll for month… maybe if it were cheaper I wouldn’t complain.
2.99$ for basic user oer month at 10$ needs to work smokther and everything eeds function. Raw card photo upload and search is must. Again i can just go to ebay. Maybe get your web crawler to grab more none ebay prices. Whatsnot, fanatics and fb marketplace. Anyway think i will cancel for now. See how the app evovles. Good luck.
Developer Response ,
Hi there,
First off, we're really sorry you didn't have a great experience using Market Movers.
To address your concerns:
1. That is actually a change that eBay made in their app and website that we have no control over. We have the same issue. SOME items do go directly to listings, but for sellers who reuse listings or set them up that way, it opens to a different item. Very frustrating, but it's actually not something we can control which is disappointing.
2. Currently we do not support raw image recognition. There are a myriad of companies working on this technology, with varied success, but it is not something we offer at this time. It is no small feat to accomplish this, and we're looking to other industry partners to solve this and partner with us down the road.
3. In order to get results, you do need to spell names properly. For example, Caitlin Clark is the correct spelling (you wrote Catlin). We do offer spell check suggestions in the app when typos are made.
Thank you for trying our app, and we hope you'll keep checking back for updates.
Great app for newbies
My stepson and i are new to card collecting. (I did do some back in the 90’s but they were more noise makers in the spokes of my bike). We we looking for the best ways to track our hits and provide us with the best information when evaluating prices for making buying and trading decisions. The app gives us all the technical data in an easy format to make these choices. We can also track our collection, and see daily how our cards change in value. In my opinion, a must have app.
