My local office is 25 minutes opposite of my home and visits. This app is awesome and I LOVE not having to run to the office Monday morning after an exhausting 16 hour shift Sunday! This app allows me to hand my paperwork in on time and be done! Upload and drop in the mailbox when I get home and done. I don’t turn on my location services so that isn’t an issue. And if I forgot when I worked I can look at all my shifts. I can see and pick up an available shift too from the app as well. Awesome work corporate! Thanks
App could use some enhancements
On a few occasions, I have sent a timesheet and pay was delayed, because I was told no timesheet was received.
I feel that it would be beneficial to allow a user to OPT-IN to receive an email confirmation declaring that it did indeed send. [[as it is, we get an on screen notification, but even after seeing these, my timesheet never reached its destination.]] Since I had no way of knowing it wasn't received, AND since I was not made aware if the problem, I did not receive payment.
Another enhancement that would benefit both user and the staff that processes pay would be a better image capture. Since many of the SCANNER style apps allow a photo conversion to PDF, I would like to see a similar feature for this app. If this isn't possible, it could be useful for the flash mechanism work with the photo. Despite my attempts, the lighting is a major issue, as shadows from either incandescent or fluorescent overhead household lighting is a constant problem.
Nearly Useless Extra Steps So Far
This app is being pushed on Maxim employees before it actually solves the problem its supposed to solve. All it does at the moment is create an extra step in turning in nursing notes. It’s clunky design makes it an annoying step at that.
Steps to remove clunky interface:
-Make log in accessible using fingerprint scans. Most devices support this these days and it is more secure and reliable than passwords anyways.
-Make the camera flash default to the on setting when taking pictures of our notes, not off or automatic.
-Allow us to take back to back pictures rather than being forced out of the camera and then have to reselect upload image. We will never have to take fewer than 2 pictures since the basic note is 2 pages. It should function as: select “upload image,” take picture, review picture, select use picture or retake, immediately be able to take next picture.
-Have the “select patient” area remember any patient we’ve selected within the last week, and forget any we haven’t selected within the last week.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
