"What did the doctor say?"

If you’ve ever struggled to answer this question, Medcorder can help.

Medcorder is a FREE app that lets you record any doctor appointment at the touch of a button. After the appointment, Medcorder transcribes the conversation for you automatically, and lets you securely share the appointment with family and caregivers. You can even add & share photos of your charts or medications, or a video clip to document how you're feeling.

Whether it's your annual physical, or one of many appointments helping you through a complex medical issue, Medcorder eliminates stress and uncertainty in remembering what the doctor said. Appointments are often complicated and fast-paced, so having a transcribed recording of what was said can make it simple to recall your doctor's precise instructions.

Medcorder is secure and all data is encrypted. Our team follows industry security best practices, and we do not sell personal information to 3rd parties, nor do we display ads.

I’m still working around to see how works. One thing it needs transcribing larger print

Thank you for the feedback. Totally agreed that transcript text needs to be more legible: we are working on a better overall playback experience in our upcoming release!

Perfect solution to a tough problem

My wife and I had scheduled a video conference to meet her new neurologist. We were scared, had a bazillion questions, and were overwhelmed by all the worst-case scenarios we’d imagined. Our daughter was also present, and I knew there would be no way I could take notes fast enough to be able to review all that would be covered in that half hour. Out of desperation I found this Medcorder app, and quickly realized I now had a tool that would let me actually LISTEN to what was being said rather than stress out about what I might be missing. We have an audio recording of the meeting, we were provided with a written transcript, and we are confident that we are moving in the right direction. Thank you, Medcorder! What a great tool to help us separate facts from fear!

A privacy nightmare (but may be worth the risk?)

I’m revising my earlier review and will give this seemingly very useful app a go. I assist an 80 yo friend with her medical challenges, and this app seems like it may fill a hole.

I would like to get some kind of Developer response to my concerns, though…

original review: First thing asked for, without explanation, is “What’s you cell #?”

Reading through the Terms and Conditions it becomes clear that you are the product. You’re paying for this free app with your personal data.

I’d love to pay for a voice memo app tailored towards medical visits which might include transcription and notes fields. This free app ain’t that.

Developer Response ,

Hi, Yowzoe. Thanks so much for continuing to consider Medcorder. We don't sell your personally identifiable information. We do use people's cell number to help them log in easily without having to remember a password. We are also working on enhancing transcriptions and the playback experience as well as helping to offer new ways to record audio, including recording calls from doctors. We hope this can be helpful for your 80 year old friend. Please contact me at with any comments or questions you have, or shake your phone when using the app to report a bug or any problem you encounter. -David, Medcorder's CEO
