Menufy: Food Delivery & Pickup 4+

To start, when you open a menu, it actually opens a web view of the menu. So iOS suggests you use the Menufy app with a banner at the top. Which makes no sense because you’re in the app! This feels very amateur-ish.

Next, if you want to filter to saved favorite restaurants, you have to toggle that on every time you want that list. My favorites are often buried under several others. It would be nice if users didn’t have to open a separate app menu and select a toggle, just to see the restaurants you want to filter to.

The UI/UX could use some attention. It isn’t the prettiest aesthetic and it feels a little clunky at times. Other similar apps like Toast are much more enjoyable to use.

Ultimately, it’s fine at best. If they charge restaurants less, I’m all for it. Just not the greatest app ever.

And for context, we do not charge our restaurants for our online ordering or web-building services, including our app. In addition, we do not take a cut of menu sales, unlike other companies. Ordered on Golden Palace website, Marion, IA. Two hours passes before I call the restaurant. They were no help. Said I need to deal with menufy myself. I think they should have did it since they told me the food had been picked up already. Call menufy and they say I cancelled the order. They had called the number provided in the order that was connected to my Apple Pay. The number was not mine and I didn’t provide one in the first place. I have bank statement showing the charge, my Apple Pay shows the charge. Menufy didn’t care. They said they will not refund me and I need to dispute the charge with my bank. This is so unacceptable. Stay away from these thieves.

Restaurant took no responsibility and sent us to Menufy. Menufy accused us of scamming them when our information didn’t match. We are out a good amount of money on a large order and we have NO FOOD either. They told us to dispute the charge with our bank. Sad and terrible service especially considering there is likely a hacker situation causing these issues with is a major security concern. Do not use this app or any restaurant that uses it.
