Description

Use the Mobile Cooling app to control your CFX, CFX5 and CFX2 fridge/freezer from a distance, providing you have a suitable Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection to connect your phone to your cooler.


Use the Mobile Cooling app to:

· Control and monitor temperatures remotely (Wi-Fi connection, distance depends on environment)

· Turn your cooler off/on, and/or control individual compartments

· Set your battery protection level

· Select temperature unit (°C or °F)

· View which power source your cooler is running on – AC or DC

· View the supply voltage level if running on DC power (CFX3 and CFX5)

· See whether your cooler lid is open, and receive an alert if left open for more than 3 mins

Since update most important function fails

Since the new version come out Amp hours while on DC power no longer works. When I’m plugged into 12vdc the says it’s not available while running on 120vac. First screen of the new version shows it running on DC power. Reported to Dometic on March 4, 2023. They replied with an email over a month ago the it was in testing. Send a reply after 3 weeks and it could be next week when it gets released. Now over 2 weeks nothing. The only part of this app the I track is power consumption which is very important when it gets hot.

Update Every time I reply to Dometic support that a new version is one week out. That response is the third time now. It almost like an AI response and not a real person. Bring back the old version that worked. You pay so much for CFX3 fridge/freezer but the most important feature doesn’t work anymore. Maybe their it’s now an AI programming the app. I was a Software Engineer has was this app able to pass Quality Control. Look somewhere else for portable fridge/freezer there is no support anymore it seems

It's a remote control

It literally has zero 'smart' features. Just On/Off, Set Temp, Turn on and off bluetooth and wifi.

It can track temperature but if you unplug it or turn it off all previous data is lost.

Can't track power consumption on AC for some reason?

I think it's laughable that I spend $1,500+ on something the size of a $200 dorm fridge and the 'brand new app' they launch has less features than the last one !!

How about tracking power and temp constantly no matter what? How about scheduling temp changes or power consumption levels so people off grid can prioritize cooling during power production hours?

How about any other sort of regular refrigerator stuff that in all these high tech house fridges have? It's almost the same price.

I'd say, at least the fridge works well but for some reason my freezer went from its set -4° up to 9° over 12 hrs for some reason. I set it to -6° and now it's cooling back down again. 🤨

Blue tooth and other

At the same time I noticed Bluetooth wasn’t working and a new app had been updated I noticed the large box side on 95 would absolutely freeze everything even if temp is set at 50 setting the temp at 50 was a test to see if it still froze everything in the box, when usually I have the refrigerator side set at 36f

Blue tooth won’t connect it acts as if it’s paring then stops and doesn’t show it added the cooler. I’ve already tried factory reset and uninstalling and reinstalling the app but still same issue
