Awesome idea but definitely not flawless

The idea behind these chairs are great! BUT there are some massive flaws that NEED to be worked out. 1. There are only 2 short blue mats which you’re supposed to drive the chairs on. Unless you’re Hercules, I HIGHLY recommend staying on these blue mats. I made the mistake of going off of them, and pushing my 78lb grandma in the chair directly in the sand and it was smooth sailing until I had to push her back up hill. There’s a small drop off when you reach the end of the blue mats which isn’t a problem until you’re on your way back up from the beach. It’s almost impossible to push the chair back over the drop off and up onto the blue mat. Long story short, STAY ON THE BLUE MATS UNLESS YOU ARE HERCULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I recommend they make longer trails with the blue mats but I’m sure that’s easier said than done.

Unresponsive app and broke e-bike

First know I attempted to work with customer service before leaving this review. I rented 4 bikes for my family in Baton Rouge, but it took trying 8 different bikes in two different locations to get 4 good ones. The app was unresponsive for about 3 to 5 minutes between each successful rental. We took off for our destination and found one of the e-bikes would not electronically operate. Fast forward to the customer service response for this issue was “it shows 71% battery. Sorry for your inconvenience.” I manually pedaled that bike while the rest of the family sped off to our destination. The next problem came when we were ending our ride. After parking and locking the bikes in the designated area, it took over half an hour before the app would work to manually end our ride. We started walking around while I watched the app spin. Guess what, if you attempt to manually end your ride after walking away, they threaten to charge you a $50 fine for “not parking in a designated area”. I walked half a mile back to finally manually end my ride on the app. Basically I was way over charged for our 4 bike rental experience. Needless to say, we took an Uber back to our hotel over renting the bikes again.

Don’t recommend in Wichita

I was in Wichita on work travel and saw shared bikes around my hotel. I wanted to rent a bike one evening, but I tried for over half an hour trying to get the app to accept two different cards as payment information. Both cards would get the green “card successfully entered” ribbon, but when I actually went to rent a bike, it gave me a “card could not be used/read” error. I tried three different bikes in two different zones before giving up. There was no helpful information in the app or online, and nothing in the error message telling me how to fix the error with the cards. I sent a message to customer support letting them know of the issue and they weren’t helpful. They insinuated that my cards had insufficient funds (they didn’t, and I had used them both that day with no issue), and stopped responding after I told them I gave up on trying to rent from them. I really like the idea of bike share programs, but I know if they’re using this app to steer clear.
