I’m a beginner - NOT a composer - and this is perfect

As a committed beginner, I’m thankful that there are SO many online tools to help me learn. Maybe too many? What I’ve found is that for many of the things I’m trying to learn, MusicSketch is literally the only tool that I can use to illuminate those “dark corners”…I’ve had a dozen “lightbulb moments” that I simply couldn’t understand without MusicSketch - my piano teacher tried everything to communicate, for example, the difference between beat and rhythm when learning boogie woogie. No “aha” moments and I thought that, well it was just beyond me. It would stay in the “mystery” area reserved for prodigies and professionals.Then he wrote out four measures for me on MusicSketch and boom - the light went on. It’s a priceless tool the features of which I can’t find anywhere else. Easy as pie to use. Best “lightbulb” app I’ve found in five years..

A little bit of a learning curve, but if you keep messing around with it, it will click. I like it because it can take any sheet music, type it in, standard notation, and can hear what it sounds like, instead of learning to play it first.Why learn it, if it isn’t interesting to you?One plus, is the placement on the staff and the selection of notes, aids in being able to read standard notion. I used to be painfully slow.I am starting to get it. And you can learn bass staff also. All Cows Eat Grass. One small, complaint. There are only three time signatures. Open that baby up here guys and the sky will be the limit. At least for me, right? I gave it 5-stars. I’m not going to knock them for a time signature gimme. I think you all are on the right track with this.A couple more tweaks and it will be the one.

Excellent user interface that makes for an easy and intuitive work environment. Everything you need is just a click away. Many notation programs are clunky with common functionality buried behind more menus. Not Here! I’m hoping development is still underway. Rendering phrases usually 4 bars per staff, Coda symbols and a few font options would be a nice finishing touch. Nice work!

This rules and I love to see an actually free app that someone made out of passion. It is perfect for waking up with a song in your head and jotting it down. Only two things I would like to see/couldn't figure out 1. Use the Audio Mixer while playing the piece 2. Have Loop default to looping the entire piece Thanks to whoever did this! I love it!
Export songs as text files, including lyrics and chords.
