Let me start by saying I love the the application but, we are in the year 2020 and I just expect more from them. With that being said I would not go anywhere else to do my banking or trading and for the information that is asked for, it is provided in-depth. But that’s the problem, I expect them to se how I am investing and send out suggestions, just on this I might like with a little added history and reading. I do that knows in Google search and the news paper, the the news papers are going away, and I would like another money source from news. I would say again, after I find the stock that i an watching, they normally send me information on how it’s doing and things to read up on.Over all, love the Application!
Signature Process
Most dissatisfied User
The process for collecting a “signature” on the mobile app is stupid and awkward. First of all, the block within which the signature is to be written is too small for even the smallest finger. I doubt an infant could fit its tiny finger in that tiny block. I think the process is fraught with the possibility of fraud, because the signatures that are supposedly being collected in no way match people’s real signatures, therefore, how can one establish that a signature is genuine authentic? I’m sure that Merrill has an army of lawyers, advising it on all sorts of ways to manage risk and prevent lawsuits or at least position Merrill in a position to win them. But those “brilliant“ lawyers have completely dropped the ball on this one. If I could give Merrill less than one star for this, I certainly would.Having ranted and raved about this, I do want to say that the people at Merrill with whom I work are first class. They are smart, they are professional, and they provide me excellent service. My complete satisfaction with them more than outweighs my dissatisfaction with this idiotic signature process.
new update stinks: it's now the bank of america app
anicknamethatsubmits
whoever does these update to the merrill lynch app is not an investor and has no idea how and why an investor would log on to the merrill lynch app. if I could give this new update below zero stars I would. it now is not the merrill lynch investment app. it is the bank of america app. when I log on to the merrill app I want to see and work with my investment information, which is how the app used to be. now with this upgrade, when I log on to the merrill app I see the identical screen to logging on to the bank of america app. instead of seeing my investment info in a nice large easy to read way right when the screen opens up, I see my bank of america banking accounts and I see my credit cards. I also am greeted with a whole section of the screen being about my bank of america rewards and deals. not why I logged on. I logged on to work with my investments....so I now have to scroll down the screen to get to the thing I logged on to work with...and extra annoying, the information is now in a smaller typeface than previously, making it more difficult to read. but oh boy oh boy. now you've got some groovy red and blue lines at the top of each section because some moron of a designer thought that made the page look nice. I want ease of use and functionality. I want an app that is about what it's purpose is supposed to be, in this case investments, not my ban accounts and credit cards. you need new app designers on stuff. you need to think about how and why people use an app, not just try to make it look nice for a phone screen. I actually have a number of investment apps and what the designers have done and keep doing to the merrill app is to make it worse than all the others out there. with how the designers keep making the app more difficult for a real investor to use, if I didn't love my merrill advisor, I would have found a different investment firm to handle all of my money...NEGATIVE 25 stars for this upgrade
It's a great app, well designed, easy to use.
Narcadium
It allows you to track your financial transactions and your investments inside of an aesthetically pleasing blue and white themed display. It breaks down your investments and day to day changes in an easy to navigate and intuitive design. It allows you to email important forms and communicate with your financial team while being secure. There have been times where I will get locked out for no reason, and I must call and sort of go back and forth with different departments until they finally unlock my account which is probably the worst thing about the app, but when it's working and I have access to everything, it's a 10/10.There have also been times where the daily changes do not update, but over the years, they seem to have cleaned that up, so that's nice. It's been working consistently all year through 2023. Overall, it's a great app and I feel it has to be one of the best financial apps, if not the best out there. I haven't used every financial app out there but I'd be surprised if there is one better.
In this release, we've made some minor enhancements and bug fixes.
We're always making improvements, so turn on automatic app updates to get the latest. Go to Settings > App Store, and toggle on "App Updates".
