The best part of this app is the use of face recognition/touch ID option. That is the only thing that is better in this app compared to falcon. Otherwise, the interface is built to prioritize communication of Davita information to physicians and order signing. Just look at the layout of the home page; order signing at the very top and communication hub just under it. If you don’t review your communication messages, they just stay there the whole time and you have to scroll to the very bottom to find your recent patients.
for clinical rounding, i prefer the falcon app (especially ipad version), built with clinical workflow as priority and has imprved with each version update. The one major lack in the falcon app is the lack of face ID or touch ID option.

I don’t get all of the one star reviews. It’s not THAT bad. In fact, I think it overall does what it is intended to do, and largely does it well. The app makes order signing easy. I have not experienced issues with the app crashing, so maybe I’ve just been lucky. I like that I can see labs, cultures, treatment data and review rounding notes. I also like that I can complete my Med Director attestations on the app quickly. I wish Davita would do something to help with medication lists, which are often inaccurate.
My biggest complaint is the requirement to update the app before you can use it. It should give you the option of delaying an update a few times before forcing it. As others have said, we are often on the move and in a hurry. Having to stop and update the app with every (frequent) update is infuriating. If I don’t have a good cellular or WiFi connection, I’m out of luck. Please do something about this!
Agree with others that it looks nice but the functionality is essentially the same as Falcon.
Would be wonderful if updating was not mandatory. Just like most other apps, if there is an update, the app should not force you to update just to use the app. As nephrologists, we are usually on the go, and do not always have reliable WiFi to download a whole update. We sometimes need to look up a patient urgently and these mandatory updates prevent us from doing so
