Air Quality Info Not Current
I see that someone has commented that the air quality data are current. I haven’t found that to be the case at all on either the app or the website. The AQI runs anywhere from two to three hours behind. This lag time is frustrating in our current situation of smoke-filled air. The conditions change quickly, and if I want to go outside now, it hardly helps to know what the air quality was two hours ago. The information provided is quite interesting, though, if you care about historical data.
Good but unstable
It’s great to have easy to understand AQI data and to be able to create favorite locations for a quick view. Lots of room for improvement though:
- AQI data changes rapidly but the data in the app is always 2-3 hours behind, so you have to interpret trends.
- the app crashes frequently. Seems to always crash when it can’t contact the server.
- needs to be a way to force an update rather than quitting and restarting the app.
