It is Unfair to Any Kid (If your a kid read last sentence to learn how to delete OurPact.)

My parents installed this when I was 4. Now I’m 16. This app unfair to any teen who’s had this for more than 5 years. The app itself and the limiting time function works but there are so many cons that oppose that one pro. First of all the app is the most glitchy thing on earth. I have no idea how this happened, but my screen time just went poof the other day. My parents said they had nothing to do with it, and that probably I used it all under their nose. Which is what they say about everything. I’m pretty sure it was a glitch, but one time when I was at school with my phone, my dad unblocked all the app so I could write reminders and notes, all the app said was “No Connection, Please Check Wi-Fi Settings.” and my phone has cellular. (No dip.) So when I was trying to remember all day long to do homework, I screwed up a summative test review. I did the homework, but failed the review. Overall this app might help you go play outside for an hour, but this app is supposed to stop addiction but it ends everyday with me in settings till 2 am finding loopholes to it or just trying to play some games that are left. Overall another download means giving up a kids electronic freedom. If you’re a kid looking at this here is a way to delete OurPact, first go into settings, then to general, then to VPN management, then finally go into OurPact and hit delete management, your welcome!

My Experience with Our Pact Jr.

For context I’m 15 years old and my parents have Our Pact on my iPhone SE (2nd Generation). I’m dislike Our Pact, I typically don’t enjoy when my phone gets blocked but I’m not here to complain about that. I want to suggest some quality of life issues that I think should be fixed or worked around somehow. The first thing is the app itself. Our Pact Jr. is not a great app in terms of user experience, the app often freezes or crashes and often when installing an app, it takes multiple restarts for it to show up in the app organizer making the process of just downloading an app laborious. The second thing about Our Pact is it’s lack of customization. As of IOS 14 iPhones became a lot more customizable with the introduction of widgets and app icon customization. Even though it’s been almost two years since the update released at time of writing (November 14th 2021), Our Pact still has not added support in the app organizer for this fairly basic feature. This might be because of how the app blocks the phone but I still would like to see it in a future update. The last thing is just kind of a personal nuisance but it’s still a problem. Web Links that are saved to the Home Screen won’t show up in the app organizer. So I can’t move them around and put them in the places I want to put them in. Anyway, those are my gripes about Our Pact Jr. that I hope will be fixed at some point. Thank you for reading this and I hope you have a great rest of your day

Umm hi bruh ,

At least you have screen time

Ok I read the reviews on this and almost all of them are one star 😂 but I get why parents would want us to have this, it’s mostly so they make sure what we are doing isn’t bad and that we aren’t using too much time. I mean before you write a review you have ya at least look at why your parents actually got this. I mean look on the bright side at least you get screen time. I know some of your parents might not give you a scheduled time but STILL at least you have a phone. I get an hour a day and that’s fine with me but just I get a lil mad when it blocks me so one thing I’d want you to add is a reminder so when you have thirty minutes left, fifteen, five, four, three, two, and one minute left. So I know when I am about to be blocked. So then I can finish the important stuff i was going to do. I have parental controls on my Nintendo switch, computer, and my phone. And OurPact is the only one that doesn’t have a reminder. I hope you consider adding this. And also the people that are complaining that they have OurPact on their phone, why are you writing a review that you are mad that you still have it? Like how is writing a review going to help you? If you want it off the only way you are going to be able to get it off is to talk to the person that put it on there.
