Useless

This app is useless and has been for years. It will not allow carryout orders to be placed in my area - a major metropolitan area north of Baltimore. It shunts you out to the regular website. The regular website is just as annoying, and also has been for years, because it oscillated back and forth between letting you have an account and making you enter all your account info (including your car info for pick up) every freaking time you place an order.

We like Outback food, but having to enter all the information, and not being able to do repeat order (like my little dinky pizza shop across the street can!) is infuriating. For a national chain, it is really pathetic and sad that they can’t get a simple mobile commerce service right.

I’ve been making these same comments for years, no change.

What really burns is that after entering all your personal and order information each time, the website asks you about your experience. One of the questions is something like “if you had not been able to use our online ordering service, what would you have done?” This possible responses include things like “gone somewhere else,” “ordered by phone,” “gone for table service,” etc. I guess not enough people are saying they’ll eat somewhere else, so they don’t bother to change a thing.

So much unnecessary hassle for what should be a very simple fix.

numerous messed up orders

I have been a customer outback since the day they opened in Sebring, Florida. I always order the cheese fries with no bacon, layered cheese and extra ranch dressing. It is more often than not that my order comes out incorrect the majority of the time and there is bacon on it, which I cannot eat physically or the order has been noticed with the bacon where they remove it sprinkle more cheese on it put it in the oven for a few seconds and burn the cheese and the order. Looks like it’s been cut in half due to the mistake instead of redoing it correctly. The past three times my order has been not only incorrect with the cheese fries not only do I not receive extra ranch. I receive no ranch plus the otters that I order are not even the correct ones and the turnaround to fix the mistake is way past due as if I am given a couple $10 gift cards for cheese friesto hush me up thinking I’m content when my order is always close to $100 each time because I don’t just order cheese fries. The additional part of my disappointment with this restaurant is the customer service over the phone for takeout
I believe the gentleman‘s name is Jared very disrespectful has a very bad attitude says things such as “we’re about to close anyway, so I’m not gonna even bother to take your order when there are 30 minutes remaining disrespectful comments, such as maybe you’re the problem, hoping that it gets better soon because I truly enjoy the food when it’s correct

Earn rewards quick but can’t use them

Youl easily rack up $5 rewards if you order regularly and if you order large orders like my family and I do… Which I’m gonna spend about $100 or more… Which is 500 points and good for five dollar reward certificate and more than halfway to a second reward… On my last order I purposely didn’t use the five dollar certificate I had because it wasn’t a large order but I knew it was going to bring us to having at least one more if not two more rewards because I was only five points away from earning another reward… I ended up earning two rewards with that order… I know I have 35 dollar rewards so I have $15 to use right?… Wrong… They will only apply one to my order… So I told my wife to go crazy and get whatever she wanted… We placed a large order and when I went to use my coupons it would only let me use oneReward… I know it’s only 10 extra dollars that I’m paying… But it really rubbed me the wrong way and is definitely going to reduce how often I order outback… I find it difficult to frequent companies that show themselves to be cheap and or stingy. The policy shows a lack of loyalty to your loyal customers and well it did not stop me from ordering today because it is what my wife is in the mood for… Especially after spending 10 minutes putting an order together… It will definitely affect my business in the future.
