Description

Paytient gives people the power to pay — whenever life happens.

Paytient is a sponsored line of credit for out-of-pocket healthcare costs for the whole family. Our members pay for care over time, always without interest or fees.

If you’ve been offered a Paytient card at work or through your health plan, your employer or health insurer is paying to give you an interest-free line of credit for healthcare expenses. You read that right — no fees and no interest!

Paytient offers members flexible repayment terms on every transaction. Your Paytient card can cover copays or coinsurance at the time of treatment as well as any costs not covered by insurance. It also works for bills that you receive after your visit.

The benefits of using the Paytient app:

Simple account creation
• Create an account in less than five minutes.
• Activate your Paytient virtual Visa card immediately after account creation.
• We never check your credit or pull your credit score.

Help when you need it
• In-app chat support is available if you ever have a quick question, concern, or need to make a change.

Account info at your fingertips
• Quickly track your spending and manage active transactions. Your account summary page offers a bird’s-eye view of your Paytient activity, and monthly e-statements provide greater insight.
• Easily access and copy your card info to pay for care with Paytient at home or on the go.

Plenty of payment options
• Choose the source of funds that is best for your needs — automated payments can come directly from your bank account or via payroll deduction.
• If you have a Health Savings Account or Flexible Spending Account, you can also make payments using these tax-advantaged accounts.
• After each transaction with your Paytient card, you set a repayment plan that meets your budget.

It’s been extremely helpful

I really hope that you guys consider keeping your partnership with Paw Protect. It is very nice to have this line of credit and not have to worry if something goes wrong with my pets. Vet bills can be extremely expensive and in 2022 I lost a beloved cat. He got an urinary blockage out of nowhere, and I spent almost $12,000 trying to save his life in emergency vets. I took all of that out of savings. I was so relieved when I found that there is a policy like this out there that had in line of credit attached. I’m sad to see that may not continue. I just wanted to give my feedback that it would be amazing if you guys could keep that partnership, so we can have more pets that can be saved.

Repayment process

First of all it’s hilariously ludicrous that there is only an autopay option. This is stupid because if your payment method declines you then have to go to each charge and manually pay them one by one. My card got declined so I had to use the same card (the money was there) to manually pay each item. After paying a few of them my card started declining again because my bank flagged multiple small transactions to one place as fraud which they reasonable and rightfully should have done. Now I can’t pay the rest of the payment because their repayment system is illogical and honestly just dumb. This program is great for patients going through financial hardship like myself, but it needs some changes to prevent a hassle on both the patient and Paytient’s part. I shouldn’t have to tediously pay each payment manually and call my bank to unfreeze my card and Paytient should be able to receive the money I owe to them. It’s all fair but due to their poor repayment system both parties get screwed.

Must Have for Pet Parents

This app is amazing! I’ve always wanted to purchase insurance for my dogs, but worried I would not have the money to pay out-of-pocket in case of an emergency or they became I’ll while waiting for reimbursement. Purchasing pet insurance through Healthy Paws and provided the Paytient benefit, so I have $5,000 available at all times if something does happen, or even if I need it to cover vaccinations, exam fees, etc. The peace of mind this has given me makes it my most valuable financial asset. I have completed one transaction and they allow you to choose between 2-12 monthly installments to repay. It is so simple and incredibly beneficial.
