Definitely get this app if you want a quick way to figure out ingredient amounts for any amount of dough you want to make. Some requests for future versions:1. Allow dough ball sizes to be adjusted in 1g instead of 10g increments. 2. Allow changing of yeast percentages. (Maybe with a “defaults” button to restore values to original percentages.)In fact, an advanced settings tab that allows changing percentages of most of the ingredients, especially with the biga and polish, would be a great addition. With a biga specifically, I have had great results that don’t conform at all to the percentages and ferment times in this app. Allowing more control over this feature seems the best way to implement it. Again, with a “recommended defaults” button to input the default numbers currently used. Thank you so much for this great app. Very well thought out. Also, I would be willing to pay money to remove the ads, for what it’s worth.

First off this is a fantastic app that I use all the time and you did great with it. The only issue I have is the poolish function. It appears the poolish is calculated based on percentage of flour but I believe it should be based on percentage of water. For instance if you do 100% poolish it results in negative numbers for main dough dosages later on which is incorrect. Poolish from my understanding is based on the percentage of water in a recipe and biga is based on the percentage of flour. That way the end results come out correct for the dosages. Hope this helps!

What you should know is that this is less a recipe app than it is a yeast calculator. There are many variables you can throw at it including different kinds of fermentation- cold or room temperature as well as defining how long you will ferment in these fermentations. It uses bakers percentage to calculate your salt, fat, water, and flour. So, it’s helping you to build YOUR recipe, rather than it giving you a recipe. Such an outstanding tool!

It’s a calculator. It calculates. Works fine in that aspect. I wish I could actually fill out the water or flour fields instead of having to adjust every other option to get it to the number I’d like.Say I only have 250g of flour on hand, you have to mess with all the other fields to get the flour field to that what you want instead of allowing me to just enter that number in the proper field & go from there. So it allows you to make notes in your saved recipes…. But you can’t view them in the recipe screen you have to go back & forth between the 2 screens. Notes should be at the bottom of the recipe screen.
