Plant Monitor 4+

So far it’s working well. I’ve been using it for about a week and have not had any connectivity issues. Unless I’ve missed it would be great to get notifications if your plants are outside of the set parameters.

I bought these plant monitors after seeing them mentioned in an article written for those of us with Brown Thumbs. Actually my thumbs are plant killer thumbs because I over water (because of fear I'm under watering), over fertilize (because of fear I'm under fertilizing), and giving the plant too much shade, too much sun or not enough of either. Yes, these monitors handle all of this data for me & tell me when to add water, fertilizer, sun, shade or heat! Love, love, these monitors & this app.

So if you are a Brown Thumb plant killer like me, this is the answer to your problems. So far every plant I have used these monitors & app with are thriving! Thanks North!! Now, could please update your app in the Apple Store! Just want to make sure it will still work when Apple rolls out iOS 16. Thanks again!!!

This app requires that you pair it with the North Bluetooth Plant Tracker. The app and device work well together. The app provides reasonable feedback from the device. With Bluetooth, there are distance issues so getting readings will require that you be within 15 to 20 feet of the device to get data from it.

The app has a wide variety of plants to choose from so you are bound to find all of the common species. If you have rare plants, you can select a generic plant monitor setting based on type or species of plant. The data is very helpful and reasonably accurate.

Note: If you have tall indoor plants or have deep pots, the sensor readings will vary. Ex: I have 7 foot indoor plants in deep pots so the soil moisture reading is not as accurate due to the shortness of the sensor in the ground.

Beyond that, this is good app. App is design to handle multiple sensors so you are not burden with multiple Bluetooth devices connecting to your IOS device. Also the app looks great on the iPad mini. This is a really good app when paired with the plant sensor device.
