8K videos crash for about half of the videos, there doesn’t seem to be consistency between which Studios 8k videos crash or not. Even within certain Studios half of the videos will crash and others will work when they are 8K. Also pass through does not work would be nice to get past through video working. Another big suggestion would be to offer pass-through on the home screen so we can browse a window in our natural environment instead of being in a black box.

Hi! Thank you for your feedback!Unfortunately, this headset is very demanding when it comes to content, so some 6K and 8K videos might not work if they use the wrong codec/resolution or have incorrect metadata. As for passthrough — unfortunately, Apple doesn’t grant us access to the headset cameras because our app is a port and uses the VR SDK. The AR mode is only available when using the AR SDK.
Not bad
Gemini_x2
It’s not a bad app, but it is more difficult to navigate without a controller like you do with the Meta quest. However, it still works well. The main issue is that anything over 4K tends to crash and the AB function is hard to calculate the space that you’re trying to loop since there is no scrub feature to see where your second AB location is going to land. You have to guess the second AB location. It would be much easier if you could just hit the AB for the first part and then hit AB again for the second part.
Developer Response
Thank you for your feedback! We’re constantly working to improve the app with every release. The issue with playing files at resolutions higher than 4K seems to be on the side of the websites using our API, as Vision Pro content requires additional metadata.Regarding the AB functionality—I’ve passed it on to the team, and we’ll see what we can do!
Responsive developer, great free app
UserPerson2
I left a critical review a few weeks ago when the app wasn’t working on the new VisionOS beta. It was then fixed and the developer has been kind enough to take the time to reply to each review with updates. Thank you for all your hard work building and bug-fixing on an app that’s completely free to the community. It’s the only app for Apple Vision Pro that does what it does. Keep up the great work!

It’s suuch a good app

My only problem is that some websites refuse to load because the user agent of the web browser is set to an old version of MacOS. Please fix this! This app is a must have if you have an old google cardboard lying around and a good cheap alternative to a real VR headset. Please update the user agent so we can access other websites that think the browser is too old!
