We love dropping into this city builder’s immersive third-person view, which lets us stroll through bustling neighborhoods of our own creation.

Love it but there are a few things I’d like changed

I bought this game quite a while ago. I took a break but have jumped back in with a vengeance. One of the best things is that it’s not pay to win. You pay your few bucks without any worry of micro transactions. That’s such a huge plus and the game is so worth the small investment.
There are a few bugs- mainly graphical from what I can tell- but the main thing that irritates me gameplay wise is traffic. I can understand the need for multi lane asphalt roads in urban areas, but I’d like to be able to use dirt roads in farm country and back in the woods around campsites, etc. I’d like to use an asphalt road as a main artery into farmland, for example, while employing dirt roads to access the farms themselves. The same should apply to camp areas. It would add to the illusion of getting away from the big city.
All in all, it’s one of my favorite games on my phone. I can get lost in it for hours on end.

An improvement in almost every way

I love the original Pocket City and have sunk an embarrassing amount of hours into it. This is a great follow up – it expands on a lot of the stuff I wanted to see from a sequel. more kinds of buildings, more dynamic cities, and I especially love the huge projects you can do every 20 levels or so. I love the waste management aspect and how you can more specifically control shipping. The reason I'm not giving it five stars is because of all the minigames and quests. The quests that have to do with building stuff are fine but the quests that make you play minigames are unbearable and there are way too many of them. they dilute the city building experience which is what I'm here for, and it's hard to ignore them because the little scrolls get in the way of your finger while you're trying to build stuff. The mini games just aren't good. They're frustrating, tedious, and the controls don't work particularly well. The demolition one is particularly bad because you can't actually see where you're supposed to be going and end up destroying half of your city by accident. If a Pocket City three happens, I would love to just have the fantastic city building and building variety that this series does so well without all the extraneous mini games and chests and collecting clothing stuff that feels like it was dropped in because other games are doing it rather than because it fits this game.
