One passkey, everywhere. Your passkey now signs you in, confirms it's you when a sign-in needs a second step, and opens your Notes, all in one tap. "Sign in with a passkey" is on the sign-in screen, and if you already have a passkey, Notes offers to link it with your PIN instead of asking for a new one. Passkey sign-in is more reliable on iPhone and Android, the sign-in and confirmation screens explain what went wrong when something does, and adding a passkey during onboarding no longer sends you back to pick a handle. Backup codes without an authenticator app. Generate or regenerate them from Settings → Security after a quick confirmation, copy them, or email them to yourself. The authenticator setup screen now has a way back. Video profile pictures. Pick which five seconds of a video to use, watch the upload and processing progress, and see the new video without restarting the app. Large clips from your camera roll are accepted, and the trim no longer crashes on iPhone. Chat. Videos show a preview before you send and a thumbnail after; a clip longer than two minutes opens the trimmer instead of being refused; images load faster in busy conversations; the inbox shows a thumbnail of the last photo; larger files are accepted. Follow back. Wherever there is a Follow button, it reads "Follow back" when that person already follows you: reactions, viewers, followers lists, search, profiles, the profile preview, the lightbox and the Vibes player. Your name and your work. Edit Profile now has your first and last name; once your ID is verified they match your ID and lock. The job title picker suggests titles as you type, and licensed ones can be verified from the Verification page. Chat and Notes. Delivery ticks the way you know them, message info for group chats, message requests move to the front, and a sent message appears instantly. Notes media loads faster in the gallery. Vibes. Video Vibes preview themselves on the Home rail when they're in view. Text and Grid Vibes can be scheduled, a scheduled Vibe's timer starts when it goes live, the music credit stays put in landscape, and Trending shows a post's real number of sparks. Also in this release: the sign-in and two-factor screens are translated; shared psto.me links open the app; #tag pages list every tagged post including replies; ID verification can set up your second step right there; voice notes play at up to 3× and no longer pause on their own; replies appear instantly and sub-replies expand in place; the explicit-content confirmation is a proper dialog; and the media viewer rotates to landscape on iPhone.
