Great

I am homeschooling my little sister, due to all of this. Cause school is canceled. I could not find any books that is her level, she likes to read, and has a test, so I don’t have to make up a test.😂 She loves all these books and has read each at least twice. The only thing I would say that is bad is that our parents lost their jobs and cannot afford more books in her grade level. Because of this virus, you should make the all of the books free, because not everyone can afford it. Remember, that everyone including my family are fighting a hard battle.

Thank you so much for your review and great job helping your sister! We have been trying to make a lot of our content free to help families that are now studying at home. Write to us from the app and we’ll see if we can help even more.

Great App

I give the app a 4.5 because I was looking for an app that my kids would use to read instead of the old traditional way. An app with things they are interested in. I came across this app and both my kids loved when they saw books/stories about basketball or baseball (their favorite sports) they even like that it gave a quiz at the end. Which I thought was brilliant because you can tell kids to read and read but do they really understand it? How do you know they really read the book/story? With the quiz at the end it’s a little reassurance that yes, they did read the book/story and they understood it.. I had only one issue at the beginning which was that even tho I downloaded and paid for subscription on my iPad, there was no way to “log in” to the same account I had made on my iPad so they could use on their iPads. So I emailed the company and within 2 hours I had an answer back helping me. * Kudos for great customer service!!*

** just a suggestion, you should create a way for parents to make an account and adding the kids, so then the kids can log in without having to pay the subscription again**

Not the best learning app

This is not the best learning app. I have read so many stories in my lifetime, but have never experienced so much overage stories. For example, if you are twenty, you would want to read something for your age level so that you could understand it. But if your in this app, you can’t do that for even kids! Kids should be able to have a FREE environment that lays out all of the books they will understand and something that’s on their grade level or age range. This app again doesn’t provide that! I have read a story about Abraham Lincoln on this app. I know it’s obviously something I can understand, but do you really expect a 8/9 yr old child to be able to look at every detail and answer pointless hard questions about it? NO! That should be in the fourth grade range! That’s what I’m talking about. Now, this is MY opinion. Don’t take this personal. I do love this app but please, UPGRADE DA DANG THANG! Please!! Let children have the right to understand stories in grade level and age range! We are all people! Come on, that’s just JANK!!!!!

Developer Response ,

We love that you are looking for the best reading materials for the grade level that you need. Thanks for your well-written review. We have lots of good reviews from people who say this app has really helped them with their reading, but we always want to keep improving and we love to hear suggestions. The stories are written for the specific grade level. Because the Abraham Lincoln story is at the third grade level, it is written simply and with shorter sentences for that grade level, like "When he was a child, his family moved to Indiana." and "He ran for President in 1860 and won." There is a lot more which can be said about Lincoln but this is just a general overview of his life for that reading level. If you ever have other questions or suggestions for us please write to us here or from within the app, we love to hear from you.
