Good effort, but clunky & missing useful features.
I do like having the ability to see the battery percentage, however I think there is a bug because I can’t see the percentage when I click on a location or lock - I can only see it when I use the search feature.
I appreciate the effort to polish the look, but it takes twice as long to navigate through the app now. I have 5 locations, some of which consist of only 1 Lock. The previous app allowed me to see all the devices at a glance and scroll, but now just to review the locks I have to open a location, then back out, open another location, then back out, etc....very cumbersome.
It’s also disappointing that you removed the consolidated events view, I actually used that feature quite often when reviewing all employee or guest activity.
I really think you should add another view
to list all devices and all events for those of us who use it.
The other change I’m not super fond of is the user codes that are in blatant view. I would prefer that these codes have the ability to stay masked at all times until needing to be viewed. I use this setting on the website but there’s no option for the app.
Recent upgrade is awful
The old app was great. With the most recent update the UX went to total garbage. You can’t register an access user on a new door without going into an existing door that they are registered on.
No easy access to other properties (have to go into hamburger menu?!).
Go back to the old version, then fire your UX designer and your head of product. Both got it totally wrong on this one.
Now I have to pay?
Their access management portal and app has been free for the previous 6 years we’ve used it. The app updated today and says I don’t have the ability to issue codes without paying for the feature...I will be looking into new locks immediately.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
