The Revic Ops App is a Free Ballistics Calculator for Long Range applications from Gunwerks.
The new Revic Optics Ballistics Engine features a Ballistic Solver that uses a Modified Point Mass Solution (4 Degrees Of Freedom, or 4 DOF) backed by doppler verified ammunition ballistics. The cutting-edge ballistic calculator provides accurate shooting solutions by either ballistic coefficient (G1, G7) or drag coefficient based on doppler radar analysis of select bullets. A library with common, high performance bullets is included in the app and new projectiles are added automatically.
The Revic Ops App works as both a powerful stand alone ballistic calculator and also for managing Revic devices such as rangefinders and smart rifle scopes by creating, storing and loading profiles directly from the Revic Ops app via Bluetooth. Profiles include caliber, barrel twist, sight height, muzzle velocity and more. Two-way bluetooth communication allows Revic devices to provide real-time information like station pressure, temperature and more back to the Revic Ops app ballistic calculator.
Module Based Features include:
Create and store unique rifle and ammunition profiles, shareable with other users through QR Codes.
Select bullet profiles from more than 950+ datasets.
Real Time calculations account for:
Environmental Conditions, Target Azimuth and Angle, Wind Speed and Direction, Eotvos, Corriolis, Spin Drift, Aero Jump, and more.
Query National Weather Service Data based on GPS positioning.
Sync or manually enter weather data into the Ballistic Calculator.
Calculate Muzzle Velocity and Ballistic Coefficients based on truing data at 2 known distances.
Update Ballistic Profiles with calculated Truing Data.
Connect Revic Optics smart devices to upload Ballistic Profiles.
Sync data among shooting/hunting teams across devices.
Live View of PMR HUD
Real Time updates of PMR Smart Scope Heads Up Display (HUD).
Live ballistic calculation updates of Elevation and Windage based on Azimuth, Wind Speed, Distance and current turret positions.
- Refresh sync/connect module interface.
- Bugs fixing and performance improvement.

Great Scope, Bad App (Updated)
This app leaves a lot to be desired. I’m VERY familiar with other ballistic solver apps and I’m tech savvy. This app now has more tools but they are not very user friendly. It still feels like a incomplete beta test of an app. Many modules won’t let you back out of them without closing the app. No instruction or tutorial videos and some functions aren’t intuitive. Many modules don’t operate correctly. Very frustrating. Thank goodness the scope performs WAY WAY better than this pitiful app. I expected more from Revic and Gunwerks. Hopefully they will improve the App soon.
I love this app, how I can build custom profiles based on my rifles & loads.
Potential (UPDATED) really only useful for loading up profiles
Why would I need the BR4 for that price point if I have to manually put in my numbers to the app after lazing the target even when the BR4 is connected to the app. (So the HUD is useless if you just own the BR4, BUT you can now have a spotter laze a target and it will show up in the ballistic portion of the app and the solution with be shown for that distance). Also if I turn on spin, earth, and jumps I really wish they would stay on. Missed shots because the app reverts back to basic settings and I had not realized it. (So now this seems to be fixed and those function seem to stay on). The range finder itself really does a good job but functionality with the app is really only for loading profiles. The update that destroys all your profiles. They sent out an email and gave no time to see the email and save your profiles. Hot Trash all around! THANK THE LORD I HAVE THE SHOOTER APP. (as Im past that BUT you all need a better coder so this doesn’t happen again and doesn’t erase my profiles if there is an update.) (The accuracy of the app and thus the BR4 profile is on par with the Shooter app though I think the Shooter app is just a touch more accurate in its solution). (The app is difficult to use because instruction is clearly lacking - ie finding a video or pdf explaining exactly how the functions work or its set up. They like to show what it can do but really don’t show you how to manipulate the app/BR4 to get it to work that way. Example the Truing function seem all but useless - last couple of times I have tried using it, it stated my velocity was over 4000 fps which was completely wrong. So I went back to the old way of doing it. Dialing up or down correcting my hit seeing what the MOA was on the scope then going back to the Shooter app because it’s easier adjusting the profile there than the Revic app till the velocity give me the MOA that matches what I dialed on the scope. Then plugging in that new velocity in Revic app. So that could be better.) Overall it’s improving the app and the BR4 is a good range finder but ease of use or flow of the app functions could be much better. If you are new to shooting/ballistic apps you will be extremely frustrated. But again there is potential and its getting better. I do think if they put out better instruction on how to adjust all these features rather just showing “we have features” the frustration can be minimized. I gave one more star for their improvement but still needs refining.
