The Revic Ops App is a Free Ballistics Calculator for Long Range applications from Gunwerks.
The new Revic Optics Ballistics Engine features a Ballistic Solver that uses a Modified Point Mass Solution (4 Degrees Of Freedom, or 4 DOF) backed by doppler verified ammunition ballistics. The cutting-edge ballistic calculator provides accurate shooting solutions by either ballistic coefficient (G1, G7) or drag coefficient based on doppler radar analysis of select bullets. A library with common, high performance bullets is included in the app and new projectiles are added automatically.
The Revic Ops App works as both a powerful stand alone ballistic calculator and also for managing Revic devices such as rangefinders and smart rifle scopes by creating, storing and loading profiles directly from the Revic Ops app via Bluetooth. Profiles include caliber, barrel twist, sight height, muzzle velocity and more. Two-way bluetooth communication allows Revic devices to provide real-time information like station pressure, temperature and more back to the Revic Ops app ballistic calculator.

I’ve been running the Sig Kilo 8K rangefinder with applied ballistics and a pair of Swarovski NL pures for the last couple years. After quite a bit of research, I decided to pull the trigger on the Revic range finding binos. I was concerned that the glass quality was going to be noticeably inferior to my NL’s, but decided to move forward with the purchase anyway. After initially comparing them side by side with my NL’s, I could only tell subtle differences in the superior quality of the NL’s. Overall, the glass clarity is outstanding and the range finding capabilities are second to none. The Revic app is quite a bit more refined software than the Sig software. It has many more functions for truing my ballistics to get a more precise elevation and wind hold. The computer is extremely fast, very noticeable over the speed of the kilo 8K. I will be running them in my LE bull elk hunt this fall in ID and my WY mule deer tag. I have extremely high hopes for the performance of the Revic binos.

Haven’t had my Gunwerks 7 prc all that long but the app, the Revic range finder ,Revic tripod and scope combo that I have been able to use or get my hands on has all been spot on!! I’ve been a professional guide for over 25 years and know to put it to the test! All the Revic equipment has tested out great! I Would love to be pro staff and use this equipment all hunting season if that position ever came available!! All the people at Gunwerks have also been a breeze to work with. I would recommend any of their products that I have used and been around in the field with my clients! It all has worked flawlessly and I realize how important it is for longer range shooting.
Precision to a new level
Beyond Rubicon
Even though I spent a couple decades in the Marines, I was not a precision long range shooter. In fact, I was much better with a grenade launcher or a machine gun. However, a few years ago, I started shooting long distance with the tools I had at the time. But when I graduated to the Revic Optics and their fully integrated system, it changed the game completely and took my skills to an entirely new level. We just finished a mountain goat hunt and my brother used this system and he put down his first mountain goat in complex terrain with one shot!

I had initially a 1 star rating because there were issues with the app vs what the result would be given in the BR4 even if they were connected. Come to find out the atmosphere in the app is from a “station” vs the weather from the sensors on the BR4. Once we got past this (it did take some teeth pulling with IT to finally figure it out) and shot with the BR4 often now I am comfortable with the BR4’s solution that I don’t pay attention to the app (majority of the time) and I’m not even checking with my “Shooter App”. So very happy with the BR4 and App for all my guns from 6GT to 388 Lapua and every caliber in between. It really does make shooting easy!
- Fixing a bug on a certain profile upload will cause the Revic device to stop providing a solution.
- Fixing the communication issue on some of the Revic devices (PMR, BR4).
- Adding more map providers to drop the Revic's ranged waypoint.
