Shadow of the Depth is a top-down action roguelike set in a dark medieval fantasy world. You'll take on the role of a warrior, assassin, mage, and other characters as you navigate dungeons of light and shadow to root out the monsters that ravage your home. Be prepared to step into the depths before you! The village where Arthur, the blacksmith's son, lived was overrun by a horde of monsters and ultimately engulfed in raging flames. Arthur's father was also taken from him in the bloodbath. From then on, Arthur embarked on this never-ending path of killing and revenge. However, he was not alone. Coincidentally, a swordsman, a hunter, a mage, and others ventured into this abyss filled with perilous monsters, setting off on their own adventure... As a pc, console and mobile gamer i am blown away by the sheer amount of content this game provides. Recently I myself am getting into the world of RPG and MMO RPG games and i haven’t had any luck finding the right game for me, but oh man am I happy that i stumbled upon this masterpiece. Game is smooth and very user friendly which is the main thing that made me continue it and im glad i did. It delivers on game mechanics and player progression fluently and adequately. PVE is amazing with letting you beleve that you are indestructible until you realize that you’re not, but right after you die you immediately want more of the same power you believed you’ve had. Most importantly game is not at all hellishly difficult to progress, and it let’s you enjoy it for what it is, a true masterpiece of a mobile RPG. And did I mention it’s completely free? Occasionally you’ll have some item or gems deals that require ads but even those deels you can skip and jut buy them with coins (items only). Only thing that are paid for are heros that you can go into dungeons with, and i think that’s quite fair. The game is great and i’m happy that devs are not in it just for the money.

I got all 5 characters and passed the highest difficulty except for the mage. It is a good game that all 5 characters are well designed and balanced, the rogue-like skill system is dynamic that you can have different play styles on each character. The only problem is this is an unfinished piece and it is not even designed as a mobile game— no pass, no event, no skins, no milestone rewards. I simply spent 6 dollars and got everything I need in the game…it feels like the developers are not offering us a chance to support their work…

What can i say. It’s an all around fairly well functioning game per usual from this studio, although with a few drawbacks that greatly detract from the gameplay. My two biggest gripes are definitely the clunky UI that makes using skills/blocking/dashing without a controller somewhat of a nightmare with how hard it can be to juggle several buttons, hoping that you pressed hard enough or in the right spot to activate them. This is a small concern compared to the realproblem. ChillyRoom, stop locking playable characters/classes behind paywalls that require “real” or “paid” currency. Please don’t milk this game like you did Soul Knight, leaving it a soulless money pit of a husk like it is now. Game has potential if they get their head out of their wallets.

My two biggest gripes are definitely the clunky UI that makes using skills/blocking/dashing without a controller somewhat of a nightmare with how hard it can be to juggle several buttons, hoping that you pressed hard enough or in the right spot to activate them. This is a small concern compared to the realproblem. ChillyRoom, stop locking playable characters/classes behind paywalls that require “real” or “paid” currency. Please don’t milk this game like you did Soul Knight, leaving it a soulless money pit of a husk like it is now. Game has potential if they get their head out of their wallets.

The game adds variety with random generation each Playthrough. The player level gives minimal improvement after level 25. The only permanent aspect to improve in each run is the three rune slots. However, there is a maximum level of 6 for each rune. You cannot fuse these max level runes to get a combination rune either. In addition, there is a high chance of fused runes to become junk. You can own a maximum of 1000 runes. Honestly, that is nowhere enough to keep fusing runes. Also, when playing, the game stutters and forcibly closes somewhere between 1/2 and 2/3 of the game. If there was a method to optionally increase the chance of a specific outcome of rune fusion, and inventory was increased, the game would be worth spending money on.
