Smart Thermostat by NV Energy 4+

Last night NV energy did an upgrade or something to the eco factor system. My app keeps setting my temperature to 83. I reset it, deleted and reinstalled the app, reset WiFi, tried to call NV energy. After being on hold for tech support a message states the party you’re calling is unavailable and to leave a message, WHAT!! Fix the system/app because whatever was done last morning night made a mess!!!

Update: For two weeks the app goes to a Menu screen high
Lighting Thermostat but it doesn’t access the thermostat, schedule, savings, etc. When this first happened I remotely rebooted my Gateway and it didn’t fix it, but did cause home items to lose their connections until I got home and rebooted all off them.

Nothing has fixed the app. Now I have to go to each thermostat and manually take them off of away status.

This is fairly easy to use in setting planned temperatures for different times of day & during vacation times. What is really bad is when planned events generate unnecessary temperature changes.
I had to call NV Energy to have them stop turning on my air conditioner during the day when they have less customer usage. If the had a "real smart" thermostat it would have known that we rarely run our HVAC during the summer. We actually open windows at night and cool the house, close windows in the morning and have very comfortable temps throughout the day.
Additionally, this is the only Apple App that I use requiring a login that doesn't allow Touch ID. It is also the only household app that isn't Apple Home Kit compatible.

We are evaluating alternative thermostats that are Home Kit compatible to replace our NV Energy thermostats. Several of these are smart enough to not turn on our AC when we aren't at home & haven't run it for months.

This smart system seems to do whatever it pleases. I will turn the temperature up to 77* and then when I check it because the air kicked on again it shows it set back to 74*. It does this constantly. When I called NVEnergy and asked to be disconnected from them being able to change my temperature they said I have to be part of the program for 3 years first. I want to make clear that it is summer in Las Vegas so the change from 77* to 74* is not saving energy, it is using more. I am constantly on the app monitoring the setting because they change several times a day, sometimes several times an hour. Super frustrating. What I do like is being able to monitor and control my system from my phone so I will have to invest in my own smart system. Also the schedule setting interface is not user friendly and the temperature doesn’t follow the schedule that I set so what’s the point of even having it?! Huge fail.
