A must-try
Very cool app. A must-try. It's completely intuitive -- all your focus is on what you are creating, rather than how to use or navigate the app. Powerful results -- it does an amazing job of preserving the "life" in a face that's been turned into dots! It's also zen-like and beautiful to watch it all happen -- as you move the sliders, the pixels change in a fluid motion. A really impressive app. The developers did a great job.
Powerful vector Stippling, better than Adobe Illustrator
I recently paid for the Astute Graphics Stipplism plugin for Illustrator. This app isn't quite as full-featured, but what it does, it does REALLY well.
And you can output Vector artwork for usage in Illustrator or other high resolution applications.
