WiFi issue fix
If you are having issues with connecting to WiFi, you’ll need to use a 2.4GHz network to connect. Could not connect to 5GHz but once I switched to 2.4GHz, it worked immediately.
Generally, the app functions but had a number of errors and needs improvements:
- You cannot Edit the name of a side table. Pressing save takes you back to the list of tables and the name doesn’t change. Frustrating to remember which side of the bed ends in 46 and which in 25
- You should be able to set multiple alarms as many of us have different schedules on weekdays vs weekends or different days of the week.
- No option to lock drawer as described on in Indiegogo
- Bluetooth should be discoverable at all times on the table
UPDATE (reduced to 2 stars):
The alarm failed to make sound this morning even though the light went off. Opening the app seemed to log me in again and this seemed to cause the alarm sound to fail to go off. An alarm that does not work 100% of the time is a useless alarm.
These should all be fixable issues (maybe not Bluetooth if it’s a hardware switch). Fixing them would make this a 5.
I'll give credit where it's due. We backed these tables a while ago. It took many delays but they were finally delivered. 4 of 4 of the tables we bought were damaged. We finally got replacements today (after waiting for 5 months) and the app is still garbage. The tables seem to work better than the last ones so far but when I try to add them to a group it fails. I had two in a group and tried adding two more to a second group to no avail. I deleted the one group I had and tried recreating both which the app will not allow me to do. I've even deleted restarted and reinstalled. All being said the company certainly stands behind the product and will go out of their way to make it right but I think the app and tables have been severely under developed and not thoroughly tested for quality. This will likely be my last purchase from them unless there are some serious fixes.
Developer Response ,
We are very sorry to hear. Have you reached out to our support team at firstname.lastname@example.org to help with the app set-up?
Will change rating once I can use the app.
Got the table a while back and had no issue connecting to the app. The app was rough but I got it off Kickstarter so I expected it to gain a better UI as time went on.
However, I have since lost the ability to connect. Trying to reconnect fails every time. Contacting support is useless as they told me to turn off every Bluetooth device in the house. I can connect to my neighbors devices at times. Am I supposed to have my roommates turn off all their stuff and then call my neighbors? Ridiculous. Also, to connect to the app you have to put it in set up mode, aka the light in front is flashing. If you fail to connect, it doesn’t stop flashing. I tried to connect before bed the other day and it flashed for at least 10 minutes before I had to cover it up.
Last time I was able to use the app, you had to hit the Bluetooth button every time. No locking drawer, changing the lights was a pain, not able to connect to Alexa or have any type of voice control. At this point I don’t even want the table anymore. I could have saved money by getting a mini fridge and a wireless charger and would have been happier. Looking into returning now.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
