Making Progress But Still Major Design Improvements Needed

The app has sort of improved over time but it is still a very poorly designed iPhone app. The interface hasn’t been updated for larger iPhone screens so everything feels shrunk down for a smaller phone which leaves these big black boxes around the edges. The screenshots for the app are totally not what the app looks like on an iPhone X. Sometimes Face ID activates but usually I have to enter my password. It’s difficult to navigate the application. I have banking apps from many different banks and Southland is the only banking app I have seen where you can’t see your balance when you login. It’s ironic that I have to select “Quick Account View” just to see my balance! There is no cohesive navigation and I often find myself lost in the menu options trying to figure out where something might be. My hope is that Southland brings their iOS app into the modern age ASAP. They’re a fantastic credit union and am eager for an application to match.

App doesn’t work properly

Not a good app at all, I’m I’ve been trying to check my transactions and it doesn’t let me. Nothing pops up only lets me check quick view which only let’s you see a weeks worth not the whole month or past months. I’m also trying to activate Touch ID sense they updated the app and it doesn’t let me activate it.

Mobile deposit doesn’t work

The app itself is useful and use friendly. However I was only ever able to use the mobile deposit once. Since then, the option has disappeared from my app. I even deleted and reinstalled it. A little disappointing & basically defeats the purpose.
