Ratings and Reviews
The best car now has the best App
Yes, this app is bit pricy, but it is totally worth it. In addition to all the features that the official Tesla app provides, this app offer much much more: all the stats you could imagine on battery, efficiency and range. Not only you can see your data, you can compare it with other app users. I found myself use this feature a lot when compare my car’s firmware and efficiency. With firmware, you could almost predict a firmware will arrive soon when big chunk of other users are already on a newer firmware. With efficiency, you can tell if your car is acting abnormal or has potential issues. Sure there are enormous amount of numbers and graphs packed into this app when you open it, but the developer carefully planted explanations right at your fingertips to explain what these numbers and graphs mean. Plus, you get Smart Sentry Mode, Siri control, more advanced schedule charging and Apple Watch app, which you won’t find in other Tesla app. Furthermore, the developer actively participates discussions on Tweeter and Tesla owner’s club forum. You get tech support there from the person who develops this app! And just like your Tesla, the app keeps getting better over time. The developer constantly improve the app experience with people’s positive feedback. That’s amazing! I recommend this app for any Tesla owners who want to know more about their cars!
Useful
Finally but the bullet and glad I did, this app is worth the price. I like being able to look at the cost and efficiency data. I also appreciate being able to use the today widget or watch app to perform basic functions like activating HVAC or shutting the trunk. But my favorite part is all the Siri shortcut integrations, which I have used to build my own workflows. It is not perfect, but the developer is responsive and always updating the app.
One thing that should really change is the visualizations. Anything involving time on the X axis is displayed in the opposite order of ANY chart you have ever seen — the most recent dates are on the far left (at the origin of the axis) with older dates progressing to the right. Literal opposite of every chart you have ever seen ever. It is truly confusing. (And with charts where you must click through days - the click buttons assume the opposite direction??? Crazy.).
Also there are some grammatical inconsistencies with the Siri integration, and a couple of basic things that can’t be done with Siri (like simply activate HVAC at its current settings) But I have used several other apps, and this one is hands down the best. Well worth the price.
Developer Response ,
Thanks for using the app and welcome to Stats!
I made the direction of the x-axis on that graph receded so that you can see the most recent data without scrolling horizontally several times. You’ll appreciate this once you have more data in the app.
If you see any grammatical errors in the app, please let me know using the support button in the app.
He Has My Back
I bought Stats shortly after getting my Model 3 RWD about five years ago, and still find myself touching it for one thing or another almost every day. I’m a bit of a data nerd, and thus enjoy going through its statistics and comparisons between how my car is doing in relation to the Stats fleet. And like Tesla software, Stats gets new features frequently. I’ve always been happy with Stats since day #1. But today I’ve come here to praise it for its customer service. I’d been banging my head against the wall trying to make use of a feature introduced a year or so ago. I finally gave up and sent a message to the developer. Much to my shock & surprise, I had an email from him about an hour later. After a couple rounds, he sent me a link to an Apple web page which exactly matched my problem to Apple’s solution. With this, I solved my problem in five minutes. This level of customer support, both in timeliness and with pinpoint accuracy, is unheard of any more. I’ve always shown Stats to people I know who have Teslas. Now I have an additional story to point out that this app is from someone who won’t hide if you have a problem with it.
