SUPER73 4+

When I use the app’s navigation which I prefer over google maps. It tends to get lost and throw me in different directions once I start a trip. I like the apps ability to give a safer route choice over google maps. And the waypoint cursor once you’re riding gets lost on the map and I would constantly have to press the centering button to see myself on the map, especially when I’m making sharp turns.

Super 73 is limiting the bike’s capabilities in the EU and could soon head to the US via the app. There is no transparency yet as to why. The capability of most of their bikes is 25mph+. It will be significantly less than that if they keep rolling out these updates and not telling their customers as to why. Buyers beware. These bikes are very fun. I own 2, but taking away the go fast part of them makes them less enjoyable. It’s sad that a good physical product depends so heavily on a phone app. Shame on you Super 73. Would’ve left one star but I do love my bikes. For as much as these bikes are the customer should have the freedom to fully explore the full capabilities of their purchase.

The app is simple and streamlined. It would be great… if it didn’t crash within a minute or two of trying to use it. The battery meter doesn’t update - it stays stuck on the percent it was at when the app connects and stays that way until you force quit and restart. The navigation crashes, the telemetry doesn’t work (due to crashing). This is poor, especially on iPhone, where the platform and OS is so stable and can be easily optimized. It’s been this way since I’ve had my bike - over two years now. Super73 is established enough now that I’d expect much better.
