TextMeter is a fast, offline text analysis tool for readers, writers, editors, researchers, and nerds in general.
Most "readability" tools either hand you a flawed grade-level ranking or a highly editorialized LLM-based answer that will never reply the same way twice. TextMeter simply counts. But as it turns out, counting can be quite a powerful thing.
Some of What TextMeter Counts
Vocabulary — how common or rare the vocabulary used in your document is, ranked against a research-driven list of the 31,000 most common English words.
Phrasing — what parts of speech the words fall into, the phrases a document returns to, and the words its sentences begin with.
Sentences — see how long sentences are, and whether there are extreme outliers.
Three Promises:

Every figure has an explainer saying exactly how it was arrived at, so you can be confident about what the app is doing.

Comparison View: a library-wide view that lets you see how different analyses and folders compare, using the eight main metrics TextMeter counts.
Vocabulary Variety Metric: see how variegated a document's vocabulary is.
Explainers: understand exactly how each metric—such as Vocabulary Variety—is calculated, now gathered into one unified view.
Vocabulary Categories: no longer ambiguous descriptors such as "Moderate" or "Familiar," but explicit references to the rank ranges they represent.
UI Improvements: the Settings view is organized into two tabs, among many other small adjustments throughout.
