Everything is back to normal with the technical aspects of the app! HALLELUJAH! The app goes back to 5 Stars because, after the latest fix, The Athletic has the best sports content with the best writers around. Thank you for all the app fixes in recent weeks! Please don't do that again!
You've recovered much after you blew up the usefulness of your app a month or two ago, but there is still a few glaring item you continue to overlook with your many updates to recover: the app still no longer syncs read articles in My Feed across devices and the website like it used to do. And, you still can't swipe left or right across articles in My Feed using an iPad though you can again do so with an iPhone. A thing I loved about how the app was previously set up was that articles you read on, say, the iPad also showed up as read on my iPhone and the website. Please fix these remaining problems you introduced to what previously was one of the best sports subscription apps available and I'll go back to a 5-star rating.

Paid more than a month ago, still no access...
I paid them for a year subscription July 4, 2019. Their site took my money but hung and didn’t give me a login. I have contacted them by phone and email over a dozen separate times starting July 4. It is now August 10 and still they have not helped. It takes them up to a week to reply in any fashion and when they do, they do not make any effort to actually resolve the issue or deliver what I paid for, they send the same email over and over, clearly not reading my emails to them or listening to voice mails I leave them. It’s amazing great journalists like Sam Amick, Shams Charania and many more put their names on a brand with the worst customer service department I’ve ever encountered. I wonder if these authors know this is the way their work is being used, to get people to pay for something they never receive? It’s a shame. I’ve been getting rid of most of my subscriptions because my wife has been fighting cancer but I decided with the big July 4 sale for 60% off and the fact that I love the authors who cover the NBA and WNBA for TA that I’d go ahead and subscribe. I definitely regret it now that they have wasted hours of my time and I STILL haven’t got what I paid for. Plus I missed all the free agency coverage that was a big part of what I wanted. I hope whoever owns The Athletic will take responsibility, apologize to me and clean this up so it never happens to anyone else

Access to feeds
I don’t want to give anything but 5 stars because this is a fantastic resource for those who want sports journalism of the highest quality.
That said - the user interface...
With this latest update, I am now unable to access my MLB feed without having to scroll past 100 categories *sideways*. That’s not good.
When you click on the Account icon on the top left, “Following” has the league icons immediately below it, followed by all the teams followed (sideways, too). Why are the clickable links (on the main feed) to these followed lists not in the same order, with leagues first and all the specific teams after? That way we could access those league-wide feeds more easily.
To that point, within the Account screen (after clicking the icon on the top left) - why aren’t those feeds clickable links to the feeds themselves? I’d be happy with that route of accessing league-specific feeds using two clicks, rather than the sideways scroll-past-150-teams route this interface has forced me to do. Which I likely won’t be doing.
Please, this seems like an easy tweak that wouldn’t take too much time. I love your content, and I open your app to access it at least 5-6 times an hour. Your current interface will probably see me using the app less frequently due to the needless tediousness.
