Would be 5 stars...
Would rate the app five stars if the customer would get points from online orders or subscriptions. Since there is not a location within 20 minutes from my residence which is northern central Phoenix I would benefit from a subscription order because I buy CBTL retail items and make drinks from home. Since I spend a lot of money I to receive the rewards from points on every trip I take to a location. Points/rewards is the only way CBTL recognizes loyal customers yet points cannot be added to the app from purchasing online orders from the app. This absolutely makes zero sense. The current system is a good way to create loyal customers or to thank customers. With that said, once you are a loyal customer and spend the amount of money as I do the company needs to come up with a better way to thank those customers because the app shows the amount of money customers are spending. As much money as I spend I should have a permanent discount on all orders.
I absolutely love coffee bean. Staff is friendly, clean facilities and quality food/drink. The app over all is easy to use and the reward program is a nice treat. My issue is with the tip request after my visits. Major flaws with this request. First issue: when paying tip is already requested so either I have already decided I don’t want to tip or I have tipped. Your technology should share that information that a tip has already been made. Maybe even a nice message thank you for your tip. Instead I get asked to tip on top of my tip or is it being sneaky thinking I’ve forgot to tip so now I double tip. Issue two: it’s greedy to ask twice. When I check out I already have the option I don’t need a second request. I hope this gets fixed soon. I’m leaning towards finding another coffee shop as this double tip request just rubs me the wrong way.
All my money gone!! Zero customer service
So I had $37 on my card which was a combination of like 5 gift cards.... used the app in Las Vegas the employee couldn’t get the app to work so she scanned it 4 TIMES!!! Then made me pay cash.... the balance never changed never stayed the same I used the card a few months later because coffee bean is not in any convenient locations which is fine they have good coffee.... I used it once bought an iced tea... which was half off or something with a promo tried to use it again the following day and guess what all $37 GONE turns out when I got ahold of some one in customer service through their website I was charged 4 times for an order in Vegas... shocking right since that occurred in March and we were now in August.... her answer hmmm sometimes the app doesn’t refresh and she is going to have to reach out to Las Vegas to see what happened.
3 weeks later no response no way to get a hold of anyone just stole my money and no accountability.... 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 I won’t go to coffee bean again this is just terrible customer service and this app is trash!! BEWARE!!!
