Description
Threadalog is a embroidery thread catalog and organizer. You can keep track of your threads and fabrics needed for cross stitch, embroidery, quilting, and sewing. Add them to a shopping list.
Threadalog has powerful search features to help you quickly find the threads and fabrics you are looking for. Enter search text like "polyester yellow" or "DMC Satin green". Search for matching or similar colors by selecting a color from a grid or slider, or select a specific thread color like DMC 321 Red and see all the threads with a similar color.
Free Features:
- Keep track of your thread stash of DMC and Anchor solid cotton floss colors
- Search for threads by brand, thread type, color, color group, color identifier, color name, or fiber or combinations of these
- Search for threads by color to find other thread colors that are similar.
- Warning badges show when your stash is low
- Add threads to shopping list
- Filter shopping list by time frame needed
Threadalog Basic Features:
- Additional thread lines from Anchor, DMC, Appletons, Aurifil, Classic Colorworks, Cosmo, Dinky Dyes, Glisten Gloss, Isacord, Kreinik, Madeira, Rainbow Gallery, Sulky, CARON Collection, The Gentle Art, Weeks Dye Works and more
- Manually backup your data to iCloud and restore as needed.
- Filter the list of threads to the set of brands/types you want to see
- Select a thread like DMC Cotton 321 Red to find threads that are similar in color across brands. Adjust the accuracy of the color match to see more or fewer results.
- Browse the thread catalog by all brands.
- Add notes to your thread stash amounts and to your shopping list
Threadalog Pro Features:

Threadalog Basic and Pro are optional subscriptions that unlocks extra features. If you purchase Threadalog Basic or Pro, payment will be charged to you iTunes account yearly. Auto-renewal may be turned off at any time by going to your settings in the App Store.

1. The threading fabric colors displayed in Threadalog are approximate and may vary in real life, so always refer to actual thread samples for your final choice.
2. The Threadalog catalog is a work in progress. If you don't see a thread line you need, you can email me or fill out a survey in the app to request it.

Great app… only missing one thing…
**Update** Debbie responded to my email within the hour. She stated that she would happily add the discontinued list. She made my day!! 5 STARS!! This is a great app. It is user friendly; very easy to navigate and learn. I only use DMC floss. This app allows me to easily filter out the brand/type of floss that I want to show in my catalog and stash. I only have 1 complaint. I have been stitching for 45 years. Not only do I have my own stash, but I have inherited all of my Mom’s floss. This means that there are quite a few of the older discontinued skeins in my possession. This app does not list the discontinued threads in the catalog; therefore there is way for me to add them to my “stash”. I am extremely organized and meticulous. It greatly bothers me that I don’t have a complete list in one place. Developer, please add the complete list of all DMC threads to the catalog, or the ability to manually add my own. For my sanity, I need my list to be perfect.
Great promise and a game changer
I have only had this app a couple days. I had questions about multiple devices and they got back to me very quickly and informed me of updates they hope to have soon. Before I had Threadalog I was using a spreadsheet which honestly worked decently for me but this app is sooooo much better. I am so glad I took a chance on it.
Good app, wish you could sync between devices
It’s a good app and has almost all the DMC threads I need, but it would be greatly improved if it offered a cloud sync feature. I’d definitely upgrade to premium for that as it would allow me to go between my phone (which I use while thread shopping) and my iPad (used at home).
I also wish it were a bit easier to add a skein to your stash; the “+” button could just increase the quantity to 1 by default.
