Really Fun, Coming Soon

I actually really love this game. I play it every day. It’s a perfect mix of brainless fun while still giving me something to actively do. So why only 4 stars instead of 5? My big issue is that there are a lot of features that are “coming soon” but haven’t been added. There are supposed to be skills that can be unlocked once you reach timeline 7, but they’re not there. It just says “coming soon” on the screen where they will eventually be. I’m supposed to get runes when I reach timeline 8 and the arena when I reach timeline 9, and I’m fairly confident that those things will be “coming soon” too. Now that’s not a bad thing, but if something isn’t going to actually be coming soon then don’t tell us about it. It feels like I’m being cheated out of something. Champions were first added two months ago. If skills are the next big additions, then runes, then the arena, and if you assume that skills release today and they continue at the pace they’ve been at, we won’t get the arena until the summer. That’s not soon. That’s too long to be staring at a “coming soon” screen when you have no idea when it will actually be coming. Again, this game is really fun, but the rewards for getting to a new timeline (beyond the little boost you get) should be there, or they shouldn’t be advertised. It’s just a letdown when you finally get there and the thing you’re supposed to unlock doesn’t exist yet.

Fun game but there needs to be some transparency.

So the latest update added a race and you can see who is number 1 and so on. When you click on the first place person they are at level 1,000 something. How is that even possible? You’d have to throw so much money at the game or be playing from the very start? I’m just curious if the levels even go that high? This usually happens with games with competition. Somebody has a hack or exploits the gameplay somehow. I’m at timeline 13 and can’t even break the last block. The most reasonable player was at timeline 14 and had 3 champions and still couldn’t make it to 2nd or 3rd place. I think they should investigate these people because of course the rewards are not given to the people who played in the parameters. I think they should tell us how many levels you can get to before it’s a dead end. If they add racing and arena it won’t be a big deal if they don’t add new levels yet. Is level 1000 possible with all three champions and completing the talents and maxing out the cards? Their champions were only level 11 which is reasonable. Good game but I would like to know if those people at the top are playing legit or just cheated and reaped the rewards.

Fun game, big security risk

I’ve played this game for a while now. It’s a fun little time filler. Good enough to keep me playing, but simple enough to only do a few minutes at a time. There are paid refill options that are too expensive for me, but also enough that can be earned that I’m not able to play for free. There are ads, but they do not interrupt the game play and most are only a few seconds long. Some are about a minute, but they offset each other.

I grew concerned when I was clearing space on my phone and noticed that the game size is about 300Mb, but the document and date saved is over 2.5Gb. There’s barely anything this game needs to store for your progress. So I looked at their privacy policy. It states they collect nearly everything about you, including other apps, how long you are on them, what you do on them, where you are at, information they can pull out of the network you’re connected to in general, which web browser you are using, sites you visit, keys you click, any and all purchase history on your device and account, your email address, your shipping address, your name, your age, and just about any other piece of information they can possibly get. This is then used by them and anyone they want to sell it to. Who knows what else all that data is being used for? A fun time waster is not worth that risk.
