Share location arrivals and status updates with contacts who move and travel, without compromising privacy. On Treetop, you control who receives this information, and when.

* TRAVEL DETECTION, WITHOUT GPS
Using built-in device sensors to classify movement, Treetop notifies you to share an update after it detects significant travel, even by airplane. Treetop does not monitor GPS.

Treetop helps even your most distant connections stay a part of your life by avoiding missed opportunities to meet up and make plans.

* SHARE PRIVATELY
Communications between users are end-to-end encrypted. Only you and the people you share with (and nobody in between, not even Treetop) can view location updates sent through the app.

Treetop is designed to protect your data from being collected and sold. It is kept locally in the app and backed up by your device, while the app's network keeps you connected and gives you a username. That's it.

Treetop notifies you to share your general location for others after transiting significantly, such as by vehicle (car/bicycle) or airplane, and it does so without requiring GPS tracking. By instead analyzing movement patterns recognized through your smartphone's built-in sensors, your privacy is respected, and, you are in control of when to update your general whereabouts for your groups and contacts.

The app helps even your most distant connections be a continued part of your life by avoiding missed opportunities to visit with each other whenever possible. Using Treetop can reduce stress and even occasional feelings of distance or loneliness, and can help you feel more connected and at home in places unfamiliar that your community extends to, worldwide.

To support your wellness through movement and connection with others at ever-changing distances and proximities, with your permission, Treetop integrates with the Health app to provide interactions and a deeper view of statistics surrounding how you have transited based on your movement. This data cannot be modified by the app, and is securely processed on-device locally (only) without being shared or transmitted. (It is not sent to the internet by the app, ever. Not even to Treetop.)
